The Las Vegas Raiders are an American professional football team based in Las Vegas metropolitan area in the state of Nevada and competes in NFL as a member of the American Football League West Division.

Founded in 1960 as charter members of the AFL, the Oakland Raiders quickly established themselves as a force. Led by coach Al Davis and players such as Daryle Lamonica and Fred Biletnikoff, they won an AFL championship in 1967.
