There was surely a lot to learn from Week 1 of the XFL season, and now it’s time to apply that knowledge to Week 2. Let’s take a look at all four games on the XFL schedule this week. Let’s see  the XFL betting odds will be for this week 2.

2020 XFL Week 2 Odds, Preview & Picks

New York Guardians vs DC Defenders (-3)

This game matches up two of the most impressive defensive teams in Week 1. The Guardians had Aaron Murray and the Vipers completely befuddled while the Defenders nearly pitched a shutout in the second half against Seattle. The question this week is whether New York can go on the road and maintain such a high level of play. They’ll get a different look this week with Cardale Jones at quarterback for DC. The Defenders also have a deep stable of wide receivers far beyond Eli Rogers, who stood out in Week 1. Keep in mind the New York offense was effective behind Matt McGloin but far from explosive.

XFL Week 2 Pick: DC Defenders -3

Tampa Bay Vipers (-2.5) vs Seattle Dragons

Aaron Murray and the Tampa offense have a lot of work to do after a pitiful showing in Week 1, managing just three points against New York. If you take away his two interceptions, Murray wasn’t too bad but he looked rattled. The Vipers were a little better with Quinton Flowers at quarterback, at least when it came to running the ball. On the other side, turnovers were also an issue for Seattle quarterback Brandon Silvers, who also threw two picks in Week 1. The Seattle offense was otherwise decent, although the Dragons were lit up through the air, which could help Murray bounce back in Week 2.

XFL Week 2 Pick: Seattle Dragons +2.5

Dallas Renegades (-4) vs Los Angeles Wildcats

The Renegades were shocked to lose in Week 1 after being picked by many to win the XFL. Behind backup quarterback Phillip Nelson, Dallas scored just nine points. However, Landry Jones has said he’ll be able to return to the field this week, which should give the Renegades a boost, although they’ll still need to run the ball more after attempting just 12 rushing plays in Week 1. Of course, they’ll have to hit the road against a team that’s also trying to rebound from a loss in Week 1. The Wildcats had issues on both sides of the field in their 37-17 loss in Week 1, so they should also come out in Week 2 feeling like they have something to prove.

XFL Week 2 Pick: Los Angeles Wildcats +3

St. Louis BattleHawks vs Houston Roughnecks (-7)

The Roughnecks may have been the most impressive team in Week 1. P.J. Walker was the league’s breakout star in the first week, showcasing great athleticism and just enough accuracy as a passer. Completing 23 of 39 passes wasn’t overly impressive, but there was nothing wrong with his four touchdown passes to four different receivers. The Houston defense also kept a shutout in the second half, so the Roughnecks looked good on both sides. The BattleHawks will have their work cut out for them. Of course, they also impressed last week with a road win over Dallas despite being 9.5-point underdogs. Jordan Ta’amu was no less impressive than Walker in Week 1. The same can be said of the St. Louis defense, setting up a heavyweight fight.

XFL Week 2 Pick: Houston Roughnecks (-7)
