The 2018 US Open takes place this weekend in Flushing, New York at the Billie Jean King Complex. The top tennis players in the world will be out looking for the hardware. Here are some of the Tennis Betting favorites to win it all.

2018 US Open Betting Preview & Tennis Expert Prediction

Novak Djokovic +250

He is the most exciting player to watch these days, one of the most consistent players, and frankly, he’s probably the best active player in the game. After returning to winning form at Wimbledon, Novak looks to set his sights on the 2018 US Open title as well.

Rafael Nadal +350

No.1 worldwide rankings don’t come without pressure to perform. Nadal is currently the number one player according to rank. Also, between Nadal and fellow tennis champion, Roger Federer, they have combined for the past five grand slam events. On top of all of those accolades, Nadal is the returning U.S. Open champion.

Roger Federer +500

He’s the elder statesman here, but he also holds the record for U.S. Open wins with five in his career. He has looked great as of late with one exception, his match against Kevin Anderson at Wimbledon.

Alexander Zverev +900

The Canadian Masters defending champion can play with anyone when healthy, and it looks like he is healthy and peaking at the right time. This Open may be his chance to take one from the heavier favorites.

Juan Martin del Potro +1400

Go back to 2009 when this guy won the U.S. Open. He hasn’t had the careers of these other men, but he excels on hard surface courts. In March, he won his first Masters 1000 title at Indiana Wells, beating Roger Federer in three sets. He later followed that success with a great performance in Miami.

Juan Martin del Potro is one of the 2018 US Open Betting favorites.

The surface in New York at the open will be similar to these courts where del Potro has his best matches. When he’s at his best, he is a stubborn out and can hold his own with any of the top players.

Kevin Anderson +3300

He made it to the Open finals last year and had a tremendous run at Wimbledon, only to be exhausted by Novak Djokovic. He’s performed well enough this season to bank on these odds. In my opinion, too much stock is being placed on the big names and not enough on these last two athletes. Take a flier on this guy if you have some extra money to spend, it could end up putting some extra money in your pocket.

Also, I know it’s not a flashy pick, but I like Serena Williams to return to the throne atop of women’s tennis this weekend. Sloane Stephens and Angelique Kerber will give her a run for it, but ultimately, Williams is the best player in women’s tennis and her talent and work ethic will pay dividends here. She is the odds favorite at +600, but my bet is on her to take home the hardware and bragging rights once again.
