Every week, the action and excitement in the Premier League only seem to get better and better. The teams at the top are as good as they’ve looked in a while, yet each weekend always seems to bring a surprise or two. As we prepare for Match Day 6, let’s take a closer look at some of the top Premier Leagues scheduled for this weekend so you can set down your bets against their English Premier League odds.

EPL Betting Analysis for the Best Games On Matchday 6

Chelsea vs Manchester United

The weekend begins with the biggest match, as Chelsea will host Manchester City in a rematch of last season’s Champions League final. At home, the Blues have been given a slight nod with a +160 Moneyline while Man City’s Moneyline is +165. It’s also worth mentioning that Chelsea is at the top of the table after a 3-0 road win over London rival Tottenham last weekend. In fact, a 1-1 draw with Liverpool is Chelsea’s only blemish in league play thus far, winning their four other games by a combined score of 11-0. In fairness, Man City has been almost as impressive since their loss to Tottenham to open the season. Pep Guardiola’s team had a pair of 5-0 wins early in the season, although City also settled for a scoreless draw with a tough Southampton team last weekend.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa

The Red Devils needed a late goal to avoid a draw with West Ham United last weekend, yet Manchester United is still a massive favorite at home this week with a -250 Moneyline. In fairness, Aston Villa has a fair amount of value at +540, even on the road. The Villains have assembled a nice collection of players with the money from selling Jack Grealish over the summer. They also proved that they aren’t going to just sit back and defend after beating Everton 3-0 last weekend. Meanwhile, Manchester United can be vulnerable, drawing Southampton earlier this season and losing to Young Boys in Champions League last week.

Brentford vs Liverpool

Brentford is one of the best stories of this season thus far. The newly-promoted club has two wins and a draw in five matches, but the Bees will be put to the test against Liverpool. The Reds have four wins and a draw, putting them into a three-way tie at the top of the table with 13 points. That explains why Liverpool is a -217 road favorite while Brentford’s Moneyline is at +500. Outside of beating Arsenal to open the season, Brentford hasn’t faced any of the Premier League’s big clubs, so this will be their biggest test to date.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur

The weekend concludes with the always contentious North London Derby between Tottenham and Arsenal. The latter team is at home with a +129 Moneyline while visiting Spurs has a Moneyline of +205. However, neither team is particularly satisfied with how things are going at the moment. Tottenham was top of the table after three games but has suffered back-to-back 3-0 losses to two of their other London rivals. Meanwhile, the Gunners are in 13th place despite winning back-to-back games against Norwich City and Burnley, who currently occupy the two last spots in the standings. In five games, Arsenal has scored just twice and conceded nine goals, although Tottenham isn’t much better, scoring just three times in five matches and giving up six over their last two games.
