Champions League Betting: Top Matchday 4 Games
Matchday 4 of the Champions League Group Stage takes place this week and Wednesday’s action features return legs in Groups A, B, C and D. No spots in the Round of 16 have yet been clinched and no teams have been eliminated, but that can change on Wednesday. With that said, let’s have a look at some of the matches so you can bet on their Champions League odds.
Top UEFA Champions League Games to Bet On November 25th
Group A has been dominated by the defending champion Bayern Munich who have won the first three games by a combined 12-3. The Bavarians shouldn’t have much of a problem on Wednesday at home against a RB Salzburg team they beat 6-2 on November 3. Bayern is a -454 favorite and a win clinches a spot in the Round of 16.
The other Group A game has Atletico Madrid as a -434 favorite at home against Lokomotiv Moscow (+1163). The teams drew 1-1 in Moscow earlier this month but Atletico is coming off a 1-0 win over Barcelona in La Liga play.
Pick: Atletico Madrid
Group B has been the most competitive group thus far as all four teams are separated by three points and no team can clinch a Round of 16 spot this week. Borussia Monchengladbach (-200) leads the group with five points and on Wednesday they host Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk (+447). On November 3 the Germans went to Kiev and beat Donetsk 6-0 with a hat trick from Alassane Plea.
Pick: Borussia Monchengladbach
The two group favorites when the draw happened have both been disappointments so far with Real Madrid sitting on four points and Inter Milan in last place with two points. Inter Milan (+108) hosts the game this week after falling 3-2 in Spain on November 3. Real Madrid (+212) has struggled in league play with two losses in their last four games.
Pick: Inter Milan
This group has been the least competitive thus far with Manchester City and Porto distancing themselves from Olympiacos and Marseille. Man City (-357) can clinch a spot in the Round of 16 with a win in Greece against Olympiacos (+868). They beat the Greeks 3-0 on November 3 and have won their three games in group play by a combined 9-1.
Pick: Manchester City
Porto (+147) also scored a 3-0 win on November 3 at home against Marseille (+183). They can move to nine points in the group on Wednesday with a road win while the French side are looking for their first goal and first win of the group stage.
Liverpool (-149) put Group D on notice with a resounding 5-0 road win against upstart Atalanta (+322) on November 3. The Italian side made a quarterfinal run last year and are tied for second place in the group after Diogo Jota’s hat trick resulted in their first loss this time around. Liverpool won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020 but have suffered a handful of devastating injuries in the last month.
Ajax Amsterdam (-333) can take full possession of second place with a positive result at home against FC Midtjylland (+711) if Liverpool win as expected. The Dutch side won in Denmark in the first leg 2-1 with two goals in the first 13 minutes. Midtjylland has three losses in three games so far and they have been outscored 8-1.
