After faltering at Man City with a Championship hangover 4-0 on July 2, Liverpool are back on their elite form with 2-0 and 3-1 wins as they prepare to host Burnley on Saturday. Meanwhile Burnley have three wins and a draw in their last four games to get into the top 10 and put themselves in a position to make a run at a Europa League spot. A surprise win for the Clarets this weekend would put them firmly in the race for a top seven finish with three games left. Let’s preview one of the upcoming matches so you can make your bets against their Premier League odds.

Liverpool Betting Preview – Going After History

At the end of August Liverpool went to Turf Moor and thrashed Burnley 3-0. An own goal in the 33rd minute got the Reds on the board and Sadio Mane doubled the lead four minutes later. Roberto Firmino made it 3-0 in the 80th minute as Liverpool traveled home with all three points.

After winning 3-1 at Brighton on Wednesday the Reds are now eight points away from an all-time Premier League record in points in a season. Mohamed Salah scored twice on Wednesday including the opener in the sixth minute. Jordan Henderson scored the other goal in the eighth minute but left with a knee injury and is doubtful for Saturday’s contest.

Liverpool have allowed 26 goals in 34 games and have a Premier League-best 15 clean sheets. Salah has 23 total goals, 19 in league play while Sadio Mane has 16 league goals and the duo have also combined for 16 assists. Trent Alexander-Arnold has 12 assists while keeper Allison has allowed just 16 goals in 25 league games.

The Clarets haven’t been great away from home this year with 22 points from 17 games but they have won two straight away from Turf Moor.

Burnley Vs Liverpool Betting Lines & General Match Info

You can’t bet against Liverpool at Anfield where they have flat out dominated English competition the last two seasons, winning 20 games in a row. In fact they have played 56 straight Premier League games at home without a loss dating back to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace on April 23, 2017. The Clarets last won at Anfield in 1974 and they have won just one of their 11 league games against the Reds since 2009.
