The National Hockey League All-Star Break comes to an end with action on the ice on Tuesday. The Pacific Division beat the Atlantic Division to take the All-Star Game weekend. Now, it’s time to get the second half of the season started. The playoff races are already bunched up, so it will be interesting to see what happens in the second half of the season. Let’s take a look at the Top NHL Betting Picks of the Week.

Top NHL Betting Picks of the Week – January 29th

Boston Bruins over Anaheim Ducks – Tuesday

The second best team in the Atlantic will take on a Pacific team that is on the outside looking in for postseason play heading into the second half. Tuukka Rask has been pretty good and is expected in net for the Bruins. He is seeking his 20th win of the season. John Gibson on the other side is allowing just shy of 3 goals per game. He is looking for some help on the defensive end. Look for Boston to treat Anaheim rudely on Tuesday.

Washington Capitals over Philadelphia Flyers – Wednesday

The Flyers would love to get the second half of their season started on the right track, as they start the second half of the season tied for the final seed in the Eastern Conference. The problem is – they have to go to the nation’s capital to take on the Metropolitan leader. Braden Holtby has been awfully good, and he is the reason for the win in this game. Look for defensive effort from Washington to win on Wednesday.

Chicago Blackhawks over Vancouver Canucks – Thursday

Two teams in need of a winning start for the second half of the season. The Blackhawks are in last in the Central, and the Canucks are only ahead of Arizona in the Pacific. The Canucks have been worse at home than on the road. The Blackhawks have too much experience and too much pride to not put up a fight to make the postseason in the second half of the season. Look for Chicago to get off to a quick start and win on Thursday.

Minnesota Wild over Vegas Knights – Friday

The Minnesota Wild are another team that needs to find wins quickly. Devyn Dubnyk is in between the pipes for Minnesota and is 18-10-3 on the season.

Minnesota should be one of your NHL Betting Picks of the Week.

The Wild have been fantastic at home this season with 17 wins in regulation in 21 attempts. The Knights are great, but their 13-9-2 record on the road has us thinking they can fall in this game. Take the Wild over the Knights on Friday.

St. Louis Blues over Buffalo Sabres – Saturday

The St. Louis Blues finished the first half of the season strong with back to back wins. The Blues are 13-8-3 on the road, but they get a chance to make some hay in Buffalo. The Sabres have a league-worst 6 wins at home this season. The Sabres have just 37 points, and the Blues have to take advantage of that. Look for St. Louis to score a couple late to win this game over the Sabres.
