We’ve made it to Week 8 of the NFL season. We’ll lead the week off with arguably the best game on this week’s slate. Since the spreads have been released, we can now make our predictions. Let’s take a look at the Week 8 schedule along with our predictions so you can wager against their NFL odds.
NFL 2021 Season – Week 8 Odds Overview & Predictions for Each Game
Green Bay Packers @ Arizona Cardinals (-6)
The Packers have one loss, while the Cardinals are undefeated. This game originally had a three-point spread, but when it was announced that Davante Adams had been put on the COVID list, the line jumped to six. If Adams doesn’t play, the line could jump even higher. Right now, we’re leaning towards going with the Cardinals.
Cincinnati Bengals (-10) @ New York Jets
Nothing has gone right for the Jets as of late. Their starting quarterback is out, they just got destroyed by the Patriots, and they have lots of injury issues. The Bengals are coming off of a huge victory over the Baltimore Ravens, and they currently hold the top seed in the AFC Playoffs. We like Cincy to win and cover.
Tennessee Titans (-1) @ Indianapolis Colts
Tennessee put a hurting on the Chiefs last weekend, while the Colts went to San Francisco and beat the 49ers. While Tennessee has beaten Buffalo and Kansas City in back-to-back weeks, they’re still only a one-point favorite. While the Colts are gaining momentum, we don’t think they have enough to slow down Tennessee’s offense. The Titans win a close one on a late field goal and barely cover.
Los Angeles Rams (-14) @ Houston Texans
While the Rams were huge favorites last week over the Lions and failed to cover, they have another large spread this week. Houston hung with the Cardinals for a while but just wasn’t good enough to play with them. Following a loss against the spread, the Rams are 13-3-1 in their last 17. Go with Los Angeles in this one.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns (-3)
The Browns have struggled with injuries as of late. We’re not sure if Baker Mayfield will play. We’re not sure that we can trust the Browns right now, so we’re going out on a limb and taking the Steelers.
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) @ Detroit Lions
The Lions have been so close to winning, but just don’t seem to be able to get over the hump. The Eagles have struggled as of late. We think that Detroit gets their first win of the season here.
San Francisco 49ers (-3) @ Chicago Bears
After getting throttled by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Bears are looking to get back on the winning track. The 49ers have run into their own string of bad luck. The Niners are the better team. They beat the Bears by a touchdown.
Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons (-1)
Carolina has lost four in a row and benched Sam Darnold. Darnold will start against a team that is starting to gain some momentum. We like Atlanta to extend Carolina’s losing streak.
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills (-14)
While Miami has hit some hard times, Tua Tagovailoa has returned and has shown some flashes. Buffalo is coming off of their bye week after losing to Tennessee. Josh Allen and company will be looking to get back to their winning ways. We like the Bills to win and cover.
New England Patriots @ Los Angeles Chargers (-6)
The Chargers were embarrassed by the Ravens prior to their bye week. Justin Herbert looked lost in that game. He’ll be looking for redemption. Bill Belichick always has a way to slow young quarterbacks down, but it won’t work this time. Los Angeles wins and covers.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Seattle Seahawks (-3)
Neither of these teams has a good defense. We just think that the Seahawks have better offensive weapons. Seattle wins but doesn’t cover.
Washington Football Team @ Denver Broncos (-4)
We really don’t want to take either of these teams, but we have to choose someone. This is going to be Vic Fangio’s last game after Washington beats them.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints (+4)
These two are the top two teams in the NFC South. The Saints have the top defense in the NFL, while the Bucs have one of the best offenses. Oh, the Bucs also have some Brady guy as well. The Bucs win by a field goal.
Dallas Cowboys (-2.5) @ Minnesota Vikings
Both teams are coming off of a bye week. The Cowboys’ offense will prove to be too much for the Vikings. This one will be a shootout that will be won by the Cowboys, and they’ll cover.
New York Giants @ Kansas City Chiefs (-13)
Both teams have been struggling. The Giants coming to town is just what the doctor ordered for the Chiefs. Kansas City wins big.
