NFL Betting: Week 2 of the 2021 Regular Season Power Rankings

Written by on September 14, 2021

With the exception of the Raiders vs. Ravens game, we’ve seen all of the teams play in their NFL season openers. We saw some great performances, and we also saw some surprisingly poor performances from teams that were predicted to be Super Bowl contenders. Here are the top teams in this week’s NFL Power Rankings. Let’s get right to it so you can continue betting against the NFL odds.

2021 NFL Week 2 Power Rankings Picks

1. Kansas City Chiefs

When you have Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce, along with a rebuilt offensive line, it’s easy to score points in bunches. The Chiefs did just that on Sunday in their come-from-behind victory over the Cleveland Browns. The defense needs some fine-tuning, but if the offense continues to play at a high level, it’ll be hard to beat them.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady just finds ways to win. Brady has a good running game, three tremendous receivers, a hall of fame tight end, and an offensive line that does a good job of keeping him upright. Tampa Bay’s secondary looked weak against the Cowboys, but if they can make some changes, we could see a Super Bowl rematch.

3. Cleveland Browns

How can a team that lost be ranked this high, you ask? Well, it’s because they did everything right but win the game. Baker Mayfield and his high-powered offense took it to the Chiefs for most of the game. A few mistakes late cost the Browns. They’ll learn from their mistakes and will be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC.

4. Los Angeles Rams

The Matthew Stafford era began with a victory over the Chicago Bears. Stafford looked like he had already mastered Sean McVay’s offense. With the weapons that he has at his disposal, Stafford and company should put up a lot of points this season. With Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey leading the charge on the other side of the ball, look out for the Rams!

5. Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson was cooking on Sunday! Wilson led a powerful Seahawks offense to a victory over the Indianapolis Colts. The defense stepped it up and made some big plays as well. The defense could be Seattle’s weak spot this season, but if they continue to make big plays, Seattle could repeat as NFC West champs.

6. San Francisco 49ers

The offense looked good, and the defense looked like the 2019 unit. Injuries could derail this squad, but if they play as they did on Sunday, the Niners will be a problem for everyone.

7. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers went on the road and defeated the Buffalo Bills. The Steelers’ defense could be the best defense in the NFL this season. How far Pittsburgh goes will depend on how well Ben Roethlisberger plays. If he can manage the game for the Steelers, the defense can do the brunt of the work.

8. Arizona Cardinals

The fourth NFC West team in our rankings put on a show against the Tennessee Titans. Everyone was worried about Arizona’s defense, but Chandler Jones, JJ Watt, and company stifled the powerful Titans’ offense. On the other side of the ball, Kyler Murray and his high octane offense were able to move the ball at will against a porous Titans defense.
