Top Betting Odds and Picks for 2016 NFL Week 12

Pittsburgh (-1.5) at Indianapolis, Thursday, November 24

NFL Week 12 Pick: Pittsburgh (-1.5)

The series between Pittsburgh and Indy has been super-lopsided in Pittsburgh’s favor, with the Steelers winning 13 of their last 15 overall meetings, including their last three in a row. As a note, though, Indianapolis has been putting up a fight in its home meetings against Pittsburgh, losing 23-20 and 21-18 in its last two home games against the Steelers. With that in mind, I expect the Colts to figure out strongly in this home fixture. Even so, the 1.5 points should be pretty easy for the Steelers to take along with the win in Week 12.

Cincinnati (-1.5) at Baltimore, Sunday, November 27

NFL Week 12 Pick: Baltimore (+1.5)

Dating back to December 2013, the Ravens have lost their last five straight games (3 on the road, 2 at home) against Cincinnati, so it comes as no surprise that the Bengals have been installed as favorites to win this Week 12 encounter. A key reason behind this dominance by Cincy has been the porousness of Baltimore’s defense. From the look of things, though, we could be witnessing a better defense from the Ravens this season, going by their offseason investments on both the D and O lines. And with better defense, Joe Flacco–who I still consider to be a better QB than Andy Dalton–should lead the Ravens to a home upset over the Bengals.

Seattle (-5) at Tampa Bay, Sunday, November 27

NFL Week 12 Pick: Seattle (-5)

It’s not that Tampa Bay is not a good team, it is just that the Bucs are still miles away from matching up to the years of hard work and class that the Seahawks have at their disposal. Add to the fact that Seattle will probably be fighting hard for every win at around this time, as Russell Wilson and Co. seek to win the NFC West title over the Arizona Cardinals, be sure that the Seahawks will be taking of business in this clash.

San Francisco at Miami (-5), Sunday, November 27

NFL Week 12 Pick: San Francisco (+5)

The Niners and the Dolphins have not yet met since Miami lost 27-13 to San Francisco on the road in 2012. Interestingly, before the 2012 meeting, the Niners and the Dolphins had only met three times starting from the year 2000 onwards, with Miami holding a 2-1 edge in those meetings. So, in short, Miami and San Francisco are 2-2 since the turn of the new millennium, indicating that none of them has pretty much any edge over one another historically-speaking. Nonetheless, both Miami and San Francisco are currently in rebuilding-mode, but with the Dolphins being slightly more advanced in the process than the 49ers. At home, and with the Dolphins desperately looking to close the season with as many wins as possible, Miami should offer good value for the win in this clash, but with San Fran most likely keeping things interesting all the way to the end of the game to cover the big point spread.

Green Bay (-3.5) at Philadelphia, Monday, November 28

NFL Week 12 Pick: Green Bay (-3.5)

When the Packers last faced Philly in November 2014, the Eagles were blown to pieces in a humiliating 53-20 rout—and mind you, Philadelphia was a pretty good team at the time, going on to finish the season with a 10-6 record. With the Eagles having taken a step back in 2015 and barely much improvements made in the team in this offseason, it thus sounds hugely inappropriate to favor Green Bay in this Week 12 fixture by just 3.5 points. Home advantage or no home advantage for Philly, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will be manhandling the Eagles once again in the upcoming season in a highly-likely double digit win for the visiting Green Bay team. Oh, FYI, the Packers are 4-1 in the last five against the Eagles, including wins of 5-or-more points in their two road wins.
