Which Teams Can Really Win Super Bowl LIII?

This time of year, everyone gets a little too concerned with each team’s odds to win their division or reach the Super Bowl. But let’s look beyond the odds for a minute and just try to focus on the teams that actually have the pieces to win Super Bowl LIII. Here are 10 teams to watch.

Which Teams Can Really Win Super Bowl LIII?

Denver Broncos

If Case Keenum can replicate what he did last year, the Broncos will be a Super Bowl contender. Keenum will have better receivers around him in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders and the Broncos still have that vaunted pass rush led by Von Miller.

Los Angeles Chargers

Philip Rivers has never been to the Super Bowl, but he may have the supporting cast to get there this season. The Los Angeles defense looks great, especially the pass rushers in the front seven. Meanwhile, rookie Derwin James will help solidify the secondary, turning the Chargers into a surprising contender.

Philadelphia Eagles

If the Eagles won a Super Bowl with Nick Foles, surely they can do it with Carson Wentz. Most of the roster remains intact, the Eagles just need to find the motivation they need to win back-to-back titles.

Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta was so close to winning the Super Bowl two seasons ago, and one more year removed from that collapse, the Falcons should be ready to make another strong push. The cast of characters is mainly the same, it’s just up to Matt Ryan to lead them.

Green Bay Packers Packers

Green Bay has plenty of questions heading into the season. But as long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy, they have a chance to overcome any obstacle they may face, so they have to be included on the list of Super Bowl contenders.

New England Patriots

As long as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are still around, the Patriots will be among the favorites. Rob Gronkowski coming back for another year doesn’t hurt either. At the end of the day, the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC runs through New England.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams were a surprise team last year and given their youth, there’s a lot of room for growth. If they can take another step forward in 2018, they’ll be in the Super Bowl conversation.

New Orleans Saints

One blown tackle is all that separated the Saints from the NFC Championship Game last year. With Drew Brees back, New Orleans will be all-in on reaching the Super Bowl, and there’s no doubt they have the roster to make that happen.

The Saints look like a real contender to win the Super Bowl LIII.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Everyone in Pittsburgh knows this is probably the team’s last chance to win with the trio of Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown. As long as that trio stays healthy, the Steelers will be one of the best teams in the AFC and legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Minnesota Vikings

Is Kirk Cousins really that good? We’re about to find out. With Dalvin Cook coming back, the Vikings have a nice contingent of playmakers around Cousins. Minnesota’s defense is also good enough to win the Super Bowl LIII. All the pieces are in place, but it’ll be up to Cousins to prove he’s the guy who can lead them to the promised land.
