Super Bowl LI is now just six days away, but the prop bets that you can take out on this game have spread like wildfire. There are prop bets on everything from whether or not FOX sportscaster Joe Buck will shave his facial hair to whether Terry Bradshaw (one of the Fox Studio analysts) will pick the Atlanta Falcons to win to how tall the tallest person to score a touchdown in the game will be. The halftime show has a whole set of Super Bowl 51 prop bets all to itself — so take a look and see which ones you think you can win.

Odds That Something Goes Wrong

This is basically what people will be watching for during the halftime show — even more closely than they pay attention to the entertainment itself. Check it out: the odds of a sound malfunction during the halftime show are 12/1. Sound problems aren’t as fun as wardrobe malfunctions, though. The odds of a wardrobe malfunction are 2/1. That sounds awfully low for something that has only happened once — and you can bet that there will be plenty of fabric reinforcers in place to keep this from happening to Lady Gaga. Speaking of Lady Gaga, she’s on the prop board as well. The odds are 1-to- 3 that she will wear an outfit that “breaks” Twitter. Now, we know how the NFL likes to make everything family-friendly, so you can be sure that Roger Goodell will have vetted every outfit that she plans to wear on stage. That’s also why the odds are 3/2 that she will wear an outfit that requires blurring for indecency. If the blurring takes place, that means that there’s something you shouldn’t see behind the blur — which kind of takes away the point of the blur in the first place. I think she’ll keep it clean. But what if Lady Gaga brings a snake onstage? The odds of that are 4-to- 5. Do you want to bet on what Lady Gaga will sing first? Well, you could choose “Born This Way” (4/1), “Perfect Illusion” (7/2) or “The Edge of Glory” (3/1). The field? (any other song) comes back at 2/1. You can also bet on what she will sing last: “Til It Happens to You” (4/1), “You and I” (5/1) or “Just Dance” (11/2). The field? 1/1. How many songs will she sing? The over/under is 7.5. Given the number of ads the Super Bowl broadcast will have to squeeze in, that seems like a high number. Will Lady Gaga get booed? The odds are 9/1. However, this seems hard to quantify — or to win. The crowd on the field around the stage is usually made up of hired hands, and wouldn’t Roger Goodell mute out any boos anyway? Do you want shots at some big money? The odds of someone catching fire are 25/1. We won’t have Michael Jackson’s hair next to those fireworks, so you’d think that the odds on this would be a lot longer. But what about someone falling off the stage? Those odds are 12/1. The bottom line? You can bet on just about anything at the Super Bowl — and that includes the halftime show.
