Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Houston Texans Betting Preview
Houston Texans Preview
Many feel that the Houston Texans could be the worst team in the NFL this season. They’ve had a tumultuous offseason. In dealing with all of the Deshaun Watson issues, the release of JJ Watt, the mishandling of the head coaching situation, etc., the Texans have had an offseason to forget.
Houston is hoping that the predictions are wrong, but the product that they will put out on the field may not be very good. Unless something changes, Tyrod Taylor will be under center for the Houston Texans to start the regular season. He will be backed up by Davis Mills and Jeff Driskell. In case you’re wondering, Watson is still on the roster, but it’s doubtful that we’ll see him playing anytime soon.
One competition that everyone has been keeping an eye on in Texans camp is for the starting running back position. Mark Ingram and Phillip Lindsay both have their eyes on the starting spot. Everything could come down to the final preseason game.
The Texans are 2-0 heading into their preseason finale. They have played better than expected. We’ll see if they can continue on their hot streak.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview
Coming off of their Super Bowl victory and returning all 22 starters from that team, things look great for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, they have started the preseason off with an 0-2 record. The Bucs were dominated by the Tennessee Titans 34-3 in their last preseason game.
We have yet to see Tom Brady play, and it’s doubtful that we will. Rookie quarterback Kyle Trask has seen a lot of action and has looked good at times, but it’s obvious that he’s a rookie quarterback.
It’s doubtful that we’ll see much from the starting offense or defense for Tampa Bay. They will be looking to fill their last few roster spots. It looks like Tampa is bored with the preseason and are ready to head into the regular season to defend their Super Bowl title.
Tampa Bay is a four-point favorite heading into the finale. We probably won’t see a lot of starters for Tampa Bay in this one. It’s fairly obvious that the Bus are ready to move on from the preseason. Houston will have their starters in action, and they still have some competitions to settle. We’re going to go with the underdog Texans in this one.
We think that Houston will win the game outright and will finish the preseason undefeated.
