The New England Patriots (10-0) will try to keep their unbeaten record intact when they pay a visit to the Denver Broncos (8-2) in an eye catching game set to take place this Sunday at 8:30 pm ET. The Patriots are favored in the NFL betting spread by 3 points, and the over-under total is at 43.5 points.

New England is coming off a short week, having squeaked by the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. The Broncos upended the Chicago Bears 17-15 last weekend. The New England defense is riddled with injuries, particularly in the secondary. However, they were able to control the Bills, holding them to 13 points. Safety Tavon Wilson was particularly solid, playing 50 snaps after only being on the field for nine so far this year. He made three solo tackles and was solid against the pass and the run. In their last four games, the Patriots have only permitted an average of 14 points per game to the opposition.

This is not going to be another Brady vs Manning tilt, because Manning is still recovering from injuries to his ribs and a torn plantar fascia. For the second straight week, Brock Osweiler will be starting for the Broncos. Broncos coach Gary Kubiak told Yahoo! Sports that Manning is “doing everything he can possibly do to get himself healthy and get himself back on the field.” The Broncos offense is not as powerful with Osweiler at the helm, but it is more careful with the ball, as Osweiler went 20 for 27 for 250 yards and a pair of scores without any interceptions.

Tom Brady NFL New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are 11-4-1 against the spread in their last 16 November contests. They are 3-1-2 against the spread in their last six AFC contests, and 5-2-2 against the spread in their last nine games overall.

Betting Odds Trends
New England Patriots

Denver is 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. They are also 1-4 against the spread in their last five Week 12 contests. In the last six Bronco-Patriot matchups, Denver is 1-5 against the spread. While Osweiler has held his own, look for the Patriots to provide many different defensive looks to confuse him. The Broncos do have one of the best defenses in the league, but it won’t be enough to beat Tom Brady. So I like the Pats to win and cover. I also like the “under” here, as both teams will struggle to do much in the scoring department this week.
