Why Bet on New York Giants?

The New York Giants will be without their top receiver Odell Beckham Jr with his injury. Most are expecting the elite receiver to play in Week 1, as they are on the road at the Dallas Cowboys. Remember, the Giants beat the Cowboys twice during the 2016 regular season. Eli Manning is back behind center for the Giants. Manning has added a couple addition targets with tight end out of Ole Miss Evan Engram, along with Brandon Marshall. The running back situation for the Giants is a little dicey, with Paul Perkins and Shane Vereen as the top options.

Are the Giants a safe bet against the Patriots in this NFL Preseason matchup?

Why Bet on New England Patriots?

The New England Patriots are without their top receiving option as well. As mentioned earlier, Julian Edelman will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. The Patriots only drafted four guys in the 2017 draft, with Derek Rivers being their first pick, which was in the third round. The Patriots also lost their starting running back from a season ago. LeGarrette Blount has left the team, and now New England is turning to Mike Gillislee, James White and Dion Lewis. To take the place of Edelman, Brandin Cooks is over from New Orleans, along with Chris Hogan and Danny Amendola.

Expert Pick & Prediction

This game has a classic written all over it. Fine – it’s the preseason – so maybe not. But, these two teams do not care for each other, no matter when they meet up. Look for a pretty well played game, with a bunch of guys fighting for their spot on the roster in it. This should be a competitive game all the way through.

The Patriots do not like to lose, and you can be certain they are going to be getting ready for their Week 1 game. The Giants are a sneaky team that some think could make the Super Bowl out of the NFC this season. In a tough bet, we are going to side with the champions at home. Bet the New England Patriots -3 over the New York Giants.
