NY Giants at Buffalo Preseason Week 2 Free Pick

When you’re looking at NFL lines for preseason games, the point spreads might seem a little off — but that’s because you don’t see many blowouts at this point. You might see a series, or even a whole quarter, out of a first team offense and defense, but then it’s all about the reserves. The Bills lost by a point to Indianapolis last week, while the Giants did receive one of those routs at the hands of Miami last week. Can the Giants rebound and get a win?

How to Bet on the NY Giants at Buffalo Preseason Week 2 Free Pick

When: Saturday, August 20, 2016, 4:00pm ET
Where: Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
TV: NFL Network
Radio: Buffalo / New York
Live Stream: NFL Game Pass
NFL Odds: Buffalo (-2.5), O/U 40 points

Why should you bet on New York?

The Giants fell 27-10 to the Miami Dolphins in their preseason opener. However, Owamagbe Odighizuwa was most impressive, as he picked up two sacks. With Jason Pierre-Paul returning from that bizarre fireworks injury and Olivier Vernon already on the defensive line, Odighizuwa gives them one of the better pass rushes in the NFL. The starting quarterbacks only combined to take seven snaps in this game, though, so what this basically meant is that the Dolphins’ reserves were a lot better than the Giants’ — including Ryan Nassib, who had an awful night at quarterback. But Eli Manning should play more in this game, and the Giants have two solid receivers in Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham, Jr., so they should produce more and keep the Bills’ passing offense in check.

Why should you put your money on the Bills?

The Bills have two solid quarterbacks in Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel, so the offense should be consistent most of the night. Adolphus Washington, the defensive lineman they picked up in the third round, looked pretty good in his time out, pressuring the quarterback twice. Cardale Jones showed some moxie in the fourth quarter, as he led a drive that almost brought the Bills back, as they scored a touchdown but failed on the two-point conversion (coaches generally do everything they can to avoid overtime in the preseason).

My Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I think the Bills will figure out their offensive issues and do a better job tackling in Week 2. I’m predicting a 20- 16 Buffalo victory.
