The action in the National Football League season is a good distance away, but have no fear – free agency has started and the official start to the season has arrived. Games would be halted by the Corona Virus drama anyways, so everyone in love with the National Football League just has to take a quick step back. Anyways – today we get to discuss the New England Patriots Odds Following the first week of free agency. Let’s take a look at the New England Patriots NFL Odds and Super Bowl Odds:

New England Patriots Odds After Free Agency Week 1

What’s next for New England

Of course, the big news with the New England Patriots was the departure of Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots won six Super Bowl titles under the leadership of Tom Brady. Brady is going to be 43 by the time the season is over, so many wonder if the Patriots are not making the right move with letting home go.

But, that leaves a massive hole to fill for New England. The Patriots have no starting quarterback at the moment. Before the loss of Brady to Tampa Bay, the Patriots were +1200 to win the Super Bowl, which ironically is going to be played……. In Tampa Bay.. Now, after the loss of one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history – the Patriots have moved to +1800 to win the Super Bowl.

AFC Champs?

Maybe you still believe in Bill Belichick and whatever quarterback he throws out there for the 2020 season. The Patriots were the massive favorites to win the AFC at +200 in 2019. Heading into this season, now after the loss of Brady, they are third in the odds. The Patriots are listed at +1000 to reach Super Bowl 55 behind both the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs are the defending champions, and the Ravens have the defending MVP of the league.

There are many that are looking at betting on the AFC East, and this news came as a huge jolt to that. The Patriots were massive favorites at -500 to win the division before the news. That’s no surprise, since the Patriots have won 18 out of the last 19 divisional titles. But, now, since the news of Brady to Tampa Bay, things have tightened up. The Patriots are now -110, with Buffalo right on their tails at +175. The Jets and Dolphins follow at +650 and +1000 respectively.

Win Totals

Finally, there are many years where you can get the New England Patriots UNDER 12 or 11.5 wins. This season, oddsmakers have made things a little tougher for you. The Patriots sit at a total of 9 wins for the 2020 season. That’s a tough number. Remember – they are playing against a first place schedule. The Patriots will take on the entire AFC West (Kansas City) and the entire NFC West (San Francisco, Rams, Seattle), along with Houston and Baltimore during the 2020 season. Things could certainly be interesting.
