The Los Angeles Rams will arrive in the Mile High City with a 2-0 preseason record, having dispatched the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos are 1-1 on the preseason. The teams have met nine times previously in preseason play, including times when the Rams were located in St. Louis and originally in Los Angeles, and the Broncos have won seven of those meetings. Take a look at your NFL Week 3 betting lines.

Why should you bet on Los Angeles?

The performance of rookie quarterback Jared Goff continues to encourage the Rams’ coaching staff. He’s not perfect yet by any means, and in Week 2 he only threw for 82 yards (8 for 12, 1 TD), but he got some experience that he will need with the regular season just around the corner. There’s also tailback Malcolm Brown, who looks more and more like he will be part of a strong tandem with starter Todd Gurley. The defense is not all that impressive yet, but as long as the Rams keep moving the ball up and down the field, the Broncos are going to have problems keeping up.

Why should you put your money on the Broncos?

If you like to look at historical trends with your preseason betting, the Rams have not beaten Denver in the preseason since 1987. Given that this 1987 game was played in London, it’s been even longer since the Rams knocked off the Broncos in a preseason on American soil. The two teams also met in Week 3 of the preseason in 2013, and the Broncos won by a single point. Despite the fact that Denver has utter chaos at the quarterback position, their defense remains just as ironclad as it was during their Super Bowl championship season last year, which always makes them a factor.

My Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I’m very impressed with Goff and the Ram offense so far, but I don’t think they’ll get much traction against the Bronco defense. I’m predicting a 20-12 win for the Denver side.
