Jets vs Giants NFL Betting Game Preview (Dec. 06, 2015)
The New York Giants (5-6) have beaten their crosstown rivals five times in a row. When the Jets (6-5) take the field against the Giants this week at MetLife Stadium, they will be taking on a team that is tied for the lead in the NFC East, even though the Redskins beat the Giants last week. This game is a pick ‘em with an over-under total of 45.

Why Should You Bet On The New York Jets?
The Jets find themselves in a fight for a wild card spot, as the New England Patriots are one win away from clinching another AFC East title. This isn’t a normal “road” game for the Jets, because they and the Giants share a stadium. However, the two teams don’t meet that often. Those five straight Giant wins have taken place over the last 16 years; they last met in 2011. The Jets enter this game with a new look at the rivalry from Todd Bowles, who has been much more low-key and considered in his rhetoric than Rex Ryan, his predecessor.
Why Should You Bet On The New York Giants?
If the Giants lose, that will be three straight losses at a key part of the season. For the Giants to win the NFC East, they have to beat this sort of team, especially since the G-men only have one more NFC East game the rest of the way. The last three Giant losses have been by no more than six points, meaning that they are competitive in all of them. The Giants got off to a slow start against the Redskins, trailing 17-0 at the half and 20-0 in the fourth quarter, roaring back to lose by six, too little too late. The Giants have surrendered the first touchdown in their last two losses. If they can find a way to score first, that will make a big difference.

Our Betting Prediction
Tom Coughlin has Eli Manning as his quarterback; Ryan Fitzpatrick is under center for the Jets. In that matchup, I like Manning more over time. Fitzpatrick may be a reliable game manager, but Manning is a game changer. In their last four games after a loss as a favorite, the Giants are 4-0 straight up and against the spread. I like them to continue that trend this week. I also like the “under” on this total as I don’t see the Jets scoring more than 10 or 14 points.
