Why Bet on Carolina Panthers?

Cam Newton is back for the Carolina Panthers just a season removed from his MVP season. The Panthers were not very strong last season on either offense or defense. The Panthers scored 23 points per game but allowed more than 25 per game. Carolina will once again feature Jonathan Stewart as their top running back.

The receiving core for the Panthers lost Tedd Ginn Jr, but will come back with Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess. The Panthers finished their preseason schedule with back to back trips to the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars, before they host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Carolina will then start the 2017 regular season on the road at the San Francisco 49ers.

The Panthers are favorites to win in NFL Preseason Week 1.

Why Bet on Houston Texans?

The Houston Texans, led by head coach Bill O’Brien are excited to see their 12th overall draft pick DeShaun Watson put together a fantastic season. A season ago, Brock Osweiler was not real strong under center for Houston. Osweiler has moved on, which has made room for Tom Savage as the starter. Houston was one of the worst passing teams a season ago.

The Texans will once again go with Lamar Miller as the top running back, and DeAndre Hopkins is still their elite receiver. Defensively, Houston ranked as one of the top teams in the league a season ago, allowing just over 20 points per game. Houston will kick off the 2017 regular season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Expert Pick & Prediction

The Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers are both teams with super high expectations in this game. Cam Newton will take it easy this pre-season, and Jonathan Stewart will not step on the field as well. Look for Carolina to sit several of their top players for this game on Wednesday night.

Houston on the other side should have a couple key guys playing. DeShaun Watson was the best quarterback in the nation last season in college football, and he is ready to prove he belongs in the National Football League. Bet the Houston Texans to win this game over Carolina. Take the Houston Texans +3.
