Green Bay Packers 2019 Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Prediction

Posted by Derrick Harper on May 22, 2019 in

In the past 10 years, it was almost always a given that barring an Aaron Rodgers injury, the Green Bay Packers would be in the playoffs. That may not be the case this season. With a turnover in the coaching staff, many new faces on the roster, and some aging veterans, there are a lot of questions marks when it comes to the Green Bay Packers.

Matt LaFleur takes over the head coaching reigns from Mike McCarthy. LaFleur will look to modernize the Green Bay offense and will tailor things to the strengths of Aaron Rodgers. Gone will be the issues between McCarthy and Rodgers. If LaFleur can build a strong bond with Rodgers, the Packers offense could be hard to stop.

Through free agency and the draft, the Packers strengthened their defense. Known in the past to be the weak link of the team, the front office made a concerted effort to improve on that side of the ball. With the free agent signings of Adrian Amos, Preston Smith, and Za’Darius Smith, the Packers showed their fans that they were focused on strengthening the defense.

On top of the free agents’ signings, the Packers also drafted pass rusher Rashan Gary with the 12th overall pick. With the 21st pick, they drafted Safety Darnell Savage. Pairing Savage with Amos, they have solidified things in the defensive backfield.

With all of the offseason maneuvers being factored in, Las Vegas has set the number of wins for the 2019 Green Bay Packers at 9. Let’s break down the NFL Odds and their 2019 schedule.

Green Bay Packers 2019 Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Prediction

Week 1: @ Chicago

The Bears will want revenge for their 2018 Week 1 loss to the Packers. The Bears defense will be too much for the revamped Packers offense.

Week 2: vs. Minnesota

The Green Bay pass rush will take advantage of a weak Minnesota offensive line. A victory for the Pack.

Week 3: vs. Denver

Joe Flacco and the Broncos will come to Lambeau. Denver’s defense will be stout, but not stout enough for Aaron Rodgers and company.

Week 4: vs. Philadelphia (Thursday Night Football)

In a tight one, Carson Wentz will lead the Eagles to victory.

Week 5: @ Dallas

Dallas is always tough to beat at home. Now that Amari Cooper has been added to the mix, you can’t just load up the box to stop Ezekiel Elliott. Dallas takes the home victory.

Week 6: vs. Detroit

The Packers always seem to struggle with the Lions. However, the Lions are in rebuilding mode and will struggle to stop Rodgers. Go Pack Go!

Week 7: vs. Oakland

The Raiders were a mess in 2018, and are still a mess in 2019. They haven’t made enough improvements to beat Green Bay.

Week 8: @ Kansas City

Two of the games top quarterbacks will match up in this contest. There’ll be a lot of points scored. The home field advantage will help the Chiefs notch the victory.

Week 9: @ LA Chargers

Coming off of the Sunday Night game, and then a long trip out West, things will be stacked against the Pack. Chargers take this one.

Week 10: vs. Carolina

Carolina has been the model of inconsistency. With Cam Newton coming off of surgery, and an improved Green Bay defense, the Packers will defeat the Panthers.

Week 11: Bye

Week 12: @ San Francisco

San Francisco is a team on the rise, but they’re still a year or two away. Green Bay in this one.

Week 13: @ New York Giants

Who’ll be under center for the Giants? Will it be Eli Manning or Daniel Jones? Mike Pettine will have to stop Saquon Barkley. Consider it done. Pack victory.

Week 14: vs. Washington

By Week 14, will it be Case Keenum or Dwayne Haskins under center? Will it really matter? Washington won’t have enough for the Packers.

Week 15: vs. Chicago

The Bears defense will still be too much for Green Bay. Bear down.

Week 16: @ Minnesota

Green Bay struggles in Minnesota. The offensive weapons of the Vikings will take it to the Packers in this one. Vikings win.

Week 17: @ Detroit

By this point, Detroit will be playing for a top draft pick. Packers easy.

When all is said and done, it looks like the Packers will finish 9-7. Make your bet wisely, as the oddsmakers have set the over/under at 9. With so much uncertainty surrounding the Packers, it’s hard to say what will happen. It’s usually safe to say that Aaron Rodgers is worth 10 wins. In that case, take the over.
