New York at Minnesota NFL Betting Lines & Preview
If you’re Tom Coughlin’s cardiologist, you’ve had a lot of business this fall. The Giants have dropped four of five games — all by one score or less. Last week the Giants fell to the undefeated Carolina Panthers. Carolina opened up a 35-7 lead, only to see the G-men storm all the way back to tie the game at 35. It took a last-second field goal to salt away the win for Carolina. The Giants need to win this week if they have a prayer of winning the NFC East, while the Vikings also need the win to stay in pace with the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North. The Vikings are four-point favorites, and the over/under total is 44.5 points. The game kicks off at 8:30pm Eastern time this Sunday night. Click here for NFL betting lines.

Why should you choose the Giants (+4)?
If we’ve learned anything during the Tom Coughlin/Eli Manning era, these Giants are not out until the last drop has emptied from their playoff hopes. Eli Manning can lead comebacks with the best of them (of course, the team has other issues that keep them from losing games at the last minute). The Giants have the ability to take advantage of a periodically porous Vikings pass defense and put up some points this week to win.
Why should you take the Vikings (-4)?
The Giants will be missing a huge weapon this week, as Odell Beckham, Jr. is missing the game due to a one-game suspension after his juvenile antics on the field last week against Carolina. That takes a big target off the field for Manning, leaving it up to Victor Cruz and the rest of the receiving corps to do the job. Teddy Bridgewater showed last week that he can carry the offense if Adrian Peterson is still a bit under the weather after his injury last week. The Vikings have lost some close games to good teams this year, but the Giants are not in the same class as Arizona and Green Bay — or even Seattle.
Expert Pick and Score Prediction
I like the Vikings to control the flow of the game and come out on top, covering the spread with a 24-17 win.
