Giants vs Falcons NFL Week 7 Betting Prediction

Two storied franchises are featured in this one, but by the looks of things, you’d never know it. The New York Football Giants as we like to call them, aren’t playing great football at all. They have a measly record of 1-5 and are bottom feeders in their division and in most major categories. Now, they face the NFL Betting favorites Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night. Let’s check the latest odds and game analysis for Giants vs Falcons.

Giants vs Falcons NFL Week 7 Betting Prediction

Giants Not Inspiring

The Giants find themselves in 15th in total defensive yards allowed which is just better than half of the league. All other categories, they are in the bottom ten, besides passing, something they are forced to do a lot of due to long 3rd downs and trailing late in games, and even that, they are in the bottom half of the league. New head coach Pat Shurmur has struggled to control the team and develop an offense even half as efficient as his masterpiece in Minnesota last year.

What’s Wrong with Atlanta

As for the Falcons, things don’t get much better. They feature a record of 2-4 and also find themselves at the bottom of their division. Granted, their division consists of the likes of the Saints, Panthers, and the early season surprise Buccaneers. Aside from all that, though, they still are struggling to gain traction, but they are starting to show that they can be the offensive powerhouse we know they can be. Matt Ryan has thrown for plenty of yards already, but what about the points?

Matt Ryan is seventh in pass completions and third in passing yards, the passing touchdowns put him in fourth place, but their red zone offense is terrible. Despite all the positives, their two win, four loss record is embarrassing. This is mostly the same team that took a lead into halftime in the Super Bowl.

Their defense is the third worst in the league, they are depleted on the back end, and injuries continue to mount at critical positions for them. On top of all that, they have a nearly nonexistent rushing attack, mostly because their coordinator chooses to run a pass-heavy scheme.

Giants vs Falcons is scheduled for Monday Night.

After all, this team has one of the best tandems of backs in the league. Each can also catch out of the backfield, meaning neither has to be forced off the field. That typically means they each can be fresher and more effective each and every series.

Matt Ryan has looked good from 20 to 20-yard lines. Their luck has to change at some point and why wouldn’t that happen against the Giants? The Falcons do have the best quarterback-wide receiver duo so far this season with the combination of Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, which is the major reason the Falcons have the 5th best passing attack in the league to this point.

Expert Prediction for Giants vs Falcons

We expect lots of turnovers in this game, inefficient offense, and lots of lead changes. Whoever is less bad will win this one. We doubt it will be an overly fun game to watch, but in the end, we will take the Falcons. We like them slightly more than I trust the Giants. They are at home in this contest.

For all these reasons, we will take the Falcons to edge out the Giants 24-21 in Atlanta.
