Dallas at Seattle Preseason Week 3 Betting Pick
Many times, the NFL odds for preseason games don’t go more than two or three points in one direction on the point spread, because you really don’t know how long the starters are going to stay in the game and what the reserves are going to do once they get into the game. So this five-point line for the Seahawks reflects a couple of different trends — pessimism about Dallas’ competitiveness in preseason games (because they generally focus more on roster experimentation than winning in these contests) and awareness of the home field advantage that Seattle has thanks to their raucous fan base.
Here’s a Closer Look at the Dallas at Seattle Preseason Week 3 Betting Pick

Why should you bet on Dallas?
Even if Tony Romo only stays in at quarterback for the first quarter, the Dallas offense is going to be something special this year. They arguably have the best offensive line in the NFL, and Dak Prescott has shown that he has considerable potential at quarterback, with his arm as well as with his feet. Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott is expected to appear in his first preseason game as well. But even when Alfred Morris or Darren McFadden is carrying the ball, the O-line is going to blow open some holes for them. That Seattle defense, called the Legion of Boom for a good reason, will still struggle to contain the Cowboy attack.
Why should you put your money on the Seahawks?
While Romo might appear for a quarter, he might also just be on the field for a series or two, depending on how protective the Cowboys’ coaching staff wants to be with Romo’s surgically enhanced collarbone. He only led two series last week against Miami. Given the fact that Week 3 in the preseason is often viewed as a dress rehearsal for coaches, who use Week 4 to rest their starter and make their decisions about who to keep at the bottom of the depth chart, the Seattle offense and defense might feature starters for the whole first half, if not into the third quarter, so the Seahawks could overwhelm the reserves if the Cowboys rest their starters early.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
Given that Dez Bryant is out for this game with a concussion, I think Seattle will have an easier time managing the Dallas attack. I’m predicting a 27-17 Seahawks victory.
