Cincinnati at Dallas Week 5 Betting Pick & Prediction
The Dallas Cowboys have won three straight since dropping their opener to the New York Giants, thanks in large part to the surprising play of two rookies in key positions on offense — Dak Prescott at quarterback and Ezekiel Elliott at tailback. The defense has played adequately to pull off wins over Washington, Chicago and San Francisco. However, the Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) represent the toughest test that the young offense has faced so far this season. If Prescott & Co. can emerge from this week with another win, the Cowboys will definitely be a factor in the upcoming race to the playoffs. Take a look at all our NFL betting picks for this weekend.

Why should you bet on the Cowboys?
Dak Prescott has now played four regular season games at the helm of the Dallas offense, and he still has yet to throw an interception. Even without Dez Bryant catching balls last week, Prescott simply adjusted and found Brice Butler (5 receptions, 41 yards, 1 TD), Cole Beasley, Terence Williams and Jason Witten with his passes. Starting left tackle Tyron Smith and left guard La’el Collins also missed the game due to injuries, but Prescott still found ways to get the ball out of the pocket. Cincinnati will certainly provide more pressure than the 49ers did, but if you are betting on Dallas, you like the rest of the line to pick up the slack.
Why should you put your money on the Bengals?
The Bengals play solid defense — and that defense got a key piece back when linebacker Vontaze Burfict returned from a three-game suspension in last Thursday’s action against the Miami Dolphins, and he picked up two tackles and an assist in 34 snaps. The Bengals have given up 114 total rushing yards in their last two contests, which means the Dallas offensive line has a challenge coming up opening holes for Elliott to keep gaining yards down the field.
My Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction
I like what Prescott has done this year to lead the offense with poise, and the Bengal offense does not really worry me. I like what remains of the Cowboy line to give Elliott plenty of running room, and I also like Prescott to find targets down the field and stretch the Bengal defense. I predict a final score of Dallas 27, Cincinnati 23.
