While the Chiefs have lost two straight, the Broncos have won two in a row with victories over the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tennessee Titans.

Let’s take a look at the latest NFL Odds for Chiefs vs Broncos while making some predictions.

Chiefs vs Broncos 2019 NFL Week 7 Odds, Preview & Prediction

Chiefs Looking for Another Win

Kansas City has won the last matchup between these two. Kansas City also leads the all time series 63-54. These two always play each other tough, and this year should be no exception. The defensive guru, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio will need to figure out a way to stop Andy Reid’s high octane offense.Kansas City started off the season well, but have hit a snag as of late.

In their two straight losses, Patrick Mahomes and the offense hasn’t looked like the high octane offense of last season. Injuries haven’t helped the situation. Sammy Watkins has missed time, Tyreek Hill who returned last week had also missed most of the season. Travis Kelce hasn’t played up to his capabilities this season, and that has hurt the Chiefs as well.

Mahomes also suffered an ankle injury against the Colts, and that has seemed to have slowed him down. Many are worried that a lack of a running game is the key ingredient that is missing from the Chiefs offense. Even though they have LeSean McCoy and Damian Williams, things still haven’t clicked with the running game. Injuries to both of those backs have somewhat been a factor, but it’s more reluctance of Andy Reid to establish the run that has hurt. The release of Kareem Hunt has hurt more than people anticipated that it would. Denver struggled out of the gate, but has regained some confidence over the last two weeks.

What about the Broncos?

Although their first four losses were all close games, people were disappointed in the start. It seems like Vic Fangio has righted the ship, and things are trending upward for the Broncos.  The Denver defense has started to look like the unit that many thought they would be under Fangio’s guidance. They only gave up 13 points to the Chargers, and last week they held the Titans scoreless.

Against Tennessee, they had seven sacks and three interceptions. Those interceptions came because of their huge pass rush. If they want to beat the Chiefs, the front four will need to put pressure on Patrick Mahomes and cause him to make some mistakes.. Joe Flacco has become more of a game manager in his later years. With that being said, the Broncos have relied more on their running game as of late.

Phillip Lindsey and Royce Freeman have led the Denver rushing attack. Courtland Sutton has made some big plays in the passing game for the Broncos.

Chiefs vs Broncos is Heck of a Battle

It’s always a tough battle between these two teams. Both teams will have a short time to prepare, as this is the Thursday night game. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense against the Denver Broncos defense should be a fun battle.

Look for the Broncos to try to keep the Chiefs offense on the sidelines as they will look to rely heavily on Phillip Lindsey and the rushing game. This should be a fun one in the Mile High City!
