Why should you bet on the Panthers?

It looked like the Carolina Panthers were just going to lose their way into a good draft pick, but then they reversed course once again and picked up a 28-16 win over the San Diego Chargers. It wasn’t Cam Newton who delivered the win, though, as he threw for just 160 yards and had a pick. The defense snatched three interceptions, giving the Panthers a number of short fields, and took away a pair of fumbles and even added a safety. They did all this without linebacker Luke Kuechly, who remains in the concussion protocol, but if you like the Panthers to cover here, you like their defense to bring a similar level of effort and results to Washington.

Why should you put your money on the Redskins?

Kirk Cousins continues to deliver as the Washington starting quarterback, and tailback Robert Kelley has emerged as a force on offense as well. Washington eked out a win over Philadelphia last week, taking a 27-22 decision in the City of Brotherly Love. Despite adding cornerback Josh Norman through free agency in the off season, though, the Redskins still struggle to make stops at key junctures, as Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz found tight end Zach Ertz ten times for 112 yards. Greg Olsen, the Panthers’ tight end, is adept at finding holes in zone coverage and making huge catches. However, Washington has a lot more to play for, and Norman will be looking to make big plays against his old team.

Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I have no idea what has happened to the Panthers this year, but I do know that Washington has a lot more to play for in terms of postseason positioning. I like Washington to win, 27-20.
