The Kansas City Chiefs (9-5) are going for nine straight wins and a playoff spot when the Cleveland Browns (3-11) come into Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday at 1:00pm Eastern time. The Chiefs are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games after opening the season with a rout of the Texans and then a five-game losing streak. Cleveland is 1-9 in their last 10 road games. The Chiefs are favored by 12.5 points, with NFL betting odds of an over/under total of 45 points.

Why should you bet on the Browns (+12.5)?
Cleveland was also a double-digit underdog last week, but they almost covered in a 30-13 loss to Seattle. They were covering until the Seahawks scored late on a Russell Wilson pass to Tyler Lockett. In their last 16 games as a double-digit underdog, going back to 2009, Cleveland is 10-6 against the spread, winning two of those straight up. Johnny Manziel will be starting at quarterback, and if he has another week of progress, the Browns could give the Chiefs a game.

Why should you choose the Chiefs (-12.5)?
In their last seven games as a double-digit favorite, the Chiefs are 5-2 against the spread. They did not cover an 11.5-point spread in Week 14, only beating the San Diego Chargers 10-3, but they are still the hottest squad in the AFC. If they win and either the Steelers or Jets lose, they will clinch a playoff position. Alex Smith continues to impress in developing from a game manager to a franchise quarterback.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
I don’t think this will be a very competitive game. I see the Chiefs taking this one in a rout, dominating the offensive and defensive phases of the game and rolling to a 38-12 victory.
