Bet on NFL as Struggling Chargers Host Equally Browns

Written by on October 3, 2015

Here’s a interesting game for anyone planing to bet on NFL this coming weekend. The struggling San Diego Chargers will host the equally unimpressive Cleveland Browns in a Week 4 matchup that is offering a ton of value despite the lethargic state of the two teams involved in this affair. Now, let’s find out which team is going to strike Pay dirt on Sunday at Qualcomm Stadium.

Cleveland at San Diego Game Information

When: 4:05 PM ET, Sunday, October 4, 2015 Where: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, California. NFL Odds: Chargers -7.5 Over/Under: 44.5 Cleveland Browns (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS) Cleveland enters this affair coming off a 27-20 loss against Oakland as a 3.5-point home favorite in Week 3. Veteran quarterback Josh McCown was respectable in his return from injury as he completed 28 for 49 passing for 341 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
Unfortunately, the Browns could only muster up a disgraceful 39 rushing yards in the loss, not to mention the fact that they couldn’t stop Oakland’s Derek Carr and Amari Cooper from repeatedly torching them through the air. The Browns are ranked 21st in scoring (19.3 ppg) and an even more discouraging 24th in points allowed (24.0).

San Diego Chargers (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS)
San Diego has dropped two in a row, including its 31-14 Week 3 loss to Minnesota as a 2-point road dog. The Bolts were held scoreless in the first and third quarters and couldn’t stop Vikings running back Adrian Peterson from gashing them for 126 yards and two scores.
Veteran signal-caller Philip Rivers completed 21 of 34 passes for 246 yards with one TD and one pick, but first round draft pick Melvin Gordon was limited to just 51 yards on 14 carries. San Diego is ranked fourth in total offense and fourth in passing, but just 18th in scoring (22.0 ppg). Defensively, the Bolts are ranked 25th in points allowed (27.7).

Game Analysis: A convincing 60 percent of the betting public likes San Diego to get it done at home and 55 percent of the betting public likes the Over.
I’ll keep it simple by agreeing on both fronts with my pair of picks for this matchup. If you didn’t know it before, you should know it now….the Bolts are in virtual ‘desperation mode’ after just three games and I expect them to come out with a fantastic effort at home to get the win over the offensively-challenged Browns despite the fact that Cleveland has posted a bunch of promising ATS trends.
