The Dallas Cowboys are usually a mainstay as one of the teams to always play on Thanksgiving and that still holds true as the Buffalo Bills come to town. If the season were to end today, both of these teams would be playing in the playoffs, so a win in this game is all the more crucial. The Bills are off to a great start as not many predicted they would be 8-3 but they are still 6.5 point underdogs in this game. This will be a good litmus test for the Cowboys who have yet to beat a team with a winning record. The 6-5 record is good enough for first place in mildly contested NFC East. Here is a further look at both teams while making some NFL Betting predictions.

Buffalo Bills

On Sunday, the Bills dominated the Denver Broncos in a 20-3 win at New Era Field. Buffalo limited the Broncos offense to just 134 total yards in the win and were just as impressive on offense. The Bills controlled the clock on Sunday, keeping the ball for 35 minutes. Part of the reason the Bills were so successful in keeping the ball away from the Broncos was due to the offense rushing for 244 yards. In all, Buffalo out-gained Denver by almost 300 yards in the win. Following wins over the Dolphins and Broncos, you would argue that the Bills are playing some of their best football of the season. Young QB Josh Allen is really playing impressive football this year as he has done just enough to give his team a shot at the end of games and he has delivered. The team will now head to AT&T Stadium to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

Dallas Cowboys

Once again, they started slow, trailing the Patriots 10-0 before they notched their first points of the game, and they were never able to recover from there. The Cowboys have been mired by early-game mistakes and the same was the case on Sunday. They missed a field goal on their second drive, had a punt blocked on their next one and threw an interception after that. They were also just 2-of-13 on third downs, and committed seven penalties for 50 yards. It’s a big number for the Cowboys to cover, especially when you consider the fact that Dallas is 0-4 this year against teams that have a winning record. Not to mention, when it comes to Thanksgiving games, the Cowboys have actually been one of the worst teams you can bet on over the past few years. Since 2011, the Cowboys have gone 1-7 against the spread in Thanksgiving games. The Cowboys are also 1-6 ATS in their past seven games against a team with a winning record.

Bills vs Cowboys Fun Thanksgiving Game

The Dallas Cowboys are 6.5 point favorites and the betting total of this game is 45. Buffalo should be able to put up enough of a fight to cover against a Cowboys team who seems to beat themselves with mistakes against good teams. The smart money is to take the BIlls in this game.
