Posted by Derrick Harper on January 20, 2021 in

When the NFL season started in September, many skeptics didn’t think that there was any way that the season would ever get to this point. Many felt that there would be too many issues with the COVID-19 pandemic, and that the season would have to stop. Although there were moments that gave the NFL some headaches, the season played out and now we’re down to the final four teams. On Sunday night, we’ll know who the two teams are that will be headed to Tampa for Super Bowl 55. Let’s preview each of the four potential Super Bowl 55 matchups so you can bet against their Super Bowl odds.

Updated Super Bowl Possible Matchups

Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay would love to be playing in the Super Bowl in their home stadium. This game could go one of two ways. We could see a ton of offense, and a shootout between a young, up-and-coming quarterback and one of the greatest to ever play the game, or we could see a game marred with penalties and turnovers, as both teams have played games like this this season. This would not be the premier matchup that the league is looking for, but it would make for an entertaining game.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This would be a rematch of the 2018 AFC Championship game. The Old Guard vs. the New Guard. We would get to see great quarterbacks matching up against each other. This one could very well turn into an offensive shootout. The storylines here would make for great viewing, but this isn’t necessarily the game that the NFL wants to see.

Buffalo Bills vs. Green Bay Packers

This one could end up being the most competitive matchup. Aaron Rodgers is in search of his second Lombardi Trophy, while Josh Allen is looking to win his first Super Bowl. Both of these quarterbacks have had great seasons and have led their teams to 13-win seasons. There would also be a lot of stories involving the quarterback to wide receiver connections, as the Rodgers to Davante Adams, and Allen to Stefon Diggs combinations have been the best quarterback to receiver combinations in the NFL this season. Adams and Diggs have been two of the main reasons that these teams have advanced to this stage of the NFL season.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers

This is the matchup that CBS and the NFL would love to see in the Super Bowl. This one would more than likely get the biggest ratings and the most viewers. Two of the best offenses, led by two of the best quarterbacks would be matching up. This one would be sure to be full of fireworks, as these two defenses are probably the worst of the four teams remaining in the playoffs. Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game, and Mahomes is quickly rising up the charts as one of the great QB’s. This one would probably come down to the wire, and everyone would want to see which quarterback could win their second Super Bowl.
