NFL Betting: Kansas City Chiefs 2020 Season Analysis
2019 was the year of the Kansas City Chiefs! After a Super Bowl victory, the Chiefs made sure to keep a good thing going, as they kept a good portion of last year’s team. The Chiefs will start the 2020 season with 17 of 22 starters returning for the opening game with Houston. With Damien Williams and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif opting out due to COVID-19, two starters leaving via free agency, and Bashaud Breeland suspended for the first four games, the Chiefs still have the main core of last year’s Super Bowl roster returning. With some free agent signings, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire replacing Damien Williams, the Chiefs should still be a powerhouse. With the Chiefs looking like the team to beat in 2020, let’s take a look at how Kansas City thinks their season will go so you can bet against their NFL odds.
NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Season Betting Analysis (Total Wins, Division, Conference Odds, etc)
Total Wins: Over/Under 11 ½
The Chiefs have the 18th toughest schedule in the NFL this year. The Chiefs do visit Baltimore, Buffalo, and New Orleans this year, so those will be very tough road games. The way things always seem to work, the probability of the Chiefs winning all three of those road games is very small. Unless things change, the fans won’t be allowed into Arrowhead Stadium, so that could play a small part of how the Chiefs play at home. However, they still should be very tough to beat at Arrowhead.
We still think that the Chiefs finish at least 12-4 and go over.
Odds to Win the AFC West: -450
The AFC West has made some improvements, but we still see the Chiefs running through this division. Denver has made strides on the offensive side of the ball, and Vic Fangio is a defensive guru. The Las Vegas Raiders will be looking to make a playoff push, and San Diego has a fantastic defense.
The Chiefs are 7-0 straight up, and 6-1 against the spread in their last 7 divisional road games. If you can win on the road, you control the division. We see the Chiefs commanding this division once again.
Odds to Win the AFC: +270
The Chiefs main competition in the AFC will be the Ravens, Colts, Titans, Bills, and you can never count the Patriots out. There could be a surprise team in there as well. With all of their core players returning, and the AFC not being overly-strong, the Colts are the favorites to win the AFC. Barring injuries, we see them heading to the Super Bowl.
Odds to Win the Super Bowl: +650
The NFC should be a very strong conference this year. With the 49ers, Seahawks, Saints, Buccaneers, Vikings, Packers, Cowboys, and Eagles looking like the top contenders in the NFC, whoever comes out of there will be a very strong team. As of now, until someone can prove otherwise, the Chiefs are still the team to beat in the NFL. With what they have returning, and the potential for their offense to be even more explosive than it has in the past, we see good things happen
