When Baltimore takes the field in Pittsburgh, the stakes will be the division. Baltimore (8-6) wins if they beat the Steelers and then the Bengals in Week 17. Pittsburgh (9-5) wins the division if they can finish the Ravens at home. Pittsburgh rides a five-game winning streak into this contest, including a 24-20 comeback win over the Bengals last week, while the Ravens have won three of the last four. Baltimore has beaten Pittsburgh four straight times and has won six of their last seven meetings — can they keep the streak alive? Take a look at this prediction plus all of our NFL betting insight for the holiday weekend.

Why should you bet on the Ravens?

It looked like a sure win was headed for disaster for the Baltimore Ravens last week. They sat at the Eagles’ 11 and led by 10 points, but then Joe Flacco threw an interception. The Eagles drove down to kick a field goal and then added a touchdown with four ticks left on the clock. Philadelphia went for two, rather than settling for the extra point and overtime, and the Ravens got a stop. Flacco just went 16 for 30 in this game, continuing an inconsistent season. In their first meeting with the Steelers this year, Flacco went 18 for 30 for 241 yards, with a touchdown and a pick. The defense has been more consistent, permitting just 82.1 yards per game on the ground, good for second in the league. They will need that approach to corral the Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell and make Ben Roethlisberger win this game with his arm.

Why should you put your money on the Steelers?

Pittsburgh has shown tremendous resiliency in the second half of the season. They trailed the Bengals by 11 points at halftime last week, but then the defense awoke and limited Cincinnati to just 38 yards after halftime. Ben Roethlisberger ended up having a big day, passing for 286 yards and a crucial score to Eli Rogers to give them their first lead of the day — the lead that would become the final score. Bell picked up 93 yards on the ground, bringing him over 1,100 yards on the season. That combination of solid offense and defense simply wasn’t there when these two teams met earlier in Baltimore.

Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

Both of these quarterbacks have come up huge in the clutch before. However, the Steelers have the better tailback (Bell) and the better receiving star (Antonio Brown). I like the Steelers to pull this out in a close one at home — but I see the Ravens covering. I predict a final score of Pittsburgh 27, Baltimore 23.
