Super Bowl 54 Odds & Super Early Predictions

It’s not but only a few days since the Patriots won their sixth Super Bowl, yet here we are saying, “What’s next?” and “on to next year.” Here’s a little prediction which will likely mean very little in the grand scheme of things, but will be quite fun to perform as an exercise as well as to look back on as injuries, rookies, and out of nowhere producers runs rampant in 2019’s NFL season. Check back for the latest odds for Super Bowl 54.

Super Bowl 54 Odds & Super Early Predictions

NFC Favorites for Super Bowl 54

I think the Rams will make it back into the big game. I think we may very well see a rematch of the NFC championship game, this time held in Los Angeles though. I’d say those two teams have the best chances to repeat out of the NFC as Division champions. In the North, the Bears struck gold with Mitchell Trubisky and Matt Nagy. Can they replicate that success without Vic Fangio behind the defense? With Khalil Mack falling into their arms via trade, the season in 2018 went about as well as anyone could have predicted.

Aaron Rodgers had a down year in Green Bay and the Vikings looked mediocre at times. The only thing remaining evident from the North going into 2019 is that the Lions are lousy. In the NFC East, there always seems to be a rotating champion. I think the Giants are a ways off and an injury or two from being an absolute trainwreck. The Cowboys got a lot better when they traded for Amari Cooper, but they still cannot throw the ball downfield consistently and their entire defense is injury prone.

AFC Favorites for Super Bowl 54

In the AFC, I’m going to take a real leap here and say that I think Andy Reid finds his running back of the future and gets himself to the big dance once again, cementing his legacy as not only a great quarterback guru and trainer of great assistants, but a truly great coach himself. If he can find a replacement to Kareem Hunt, and maybe a key defensive player or two, I think he might have the best shot to win the whole thing.

The Chiefs are among the favorites to win Super Bowl 54.

That defense has a ways to go through. I just don’t know if the high powered offense of the Chiefs could compete with the defensive schemes of some of the elite defenses around the league. That’s my hold upon them, however, it won’t much matter if the Chiefs put up 40 points per game. There aren’t many offenses geared for that kind of production. At this point, I’ll take the Chiefs to win over the Rams by a score of 31-20.

Rest of the League Odds for Super Bowl 54

See the full list of odds provided below for reference to see where you might find your team. A few stick out to me though. I like the Seahawks a lot more than most apparently. I think they may be my dark horse to get into the big game. I think the NFC has a lot more parity than the AFC though which can be making a bet on an NFC team to emerge victorious all the riskier.

In the AFC, there is an easy road to the playoffs for the Steelers (pending they don’t have any further locker room explosions, major trades or fire sales), Ravens, Chiefs, Chargers, and Patriots. In the NFC, I think the Rams, Eagles, and Saints have a ticket to the playoffs, but what about the rest of the teams?
