Posted by Derrick Harper on December 4, 2018 in

NCAA Basketball Betting action is in full swing. Other than the Big 10, we haven’t gotten to the conference season as of yet. However, there are some very intriguing matchups this week. We will see some rivalry games that are usually highly contested. As we’re leading up to the conference season, let’s take a look at some of this week’s interesting matchups and the latest odds.

Top NCAA Basketball Betting Picks of the Week – December 4th

Wofford @ Kansas (-15.5) – December 4th

The 2nd rated Kansas Jayhawks are sitting at 6-0 in the young season. Kansas is coming off of a come-from-behind overtime victory over Stanford. Wofford will bring a 4 game winning streak into the Phog Allen Fieldhouse. Wofford is currently sitting at 6-2, with their 2 losses coming to North Carolina and Oklahoma. Wofford does own a victory over South Carolina.

VCU @ Texas – December 5th

VCU will come to Texas to meet their former coach. Both teams are sitting on 2 losses in the early season. Texas is currently on a 2 game losing streak. We have yet to see them all out “havoc” style that Shaka Smart was famous for at VCU. Will we see the talented Texas team overcome VCU, or will the Rams come to Austin and upset the Longhorns?

Iowa State @ Iowa – December 6th

Iowa started the season off well, with notable victories over Oregon, UConn, and Pitt. They’ve struggled lately, losing to Wisconsin, and getting blasted at Michigan State. Iowa State’s lone loss on the season was to Arizona at the Maui Invitational. Will the Hawkeyes be able to use their home court advantage to slow down the Iowa State offense which is averaging near 80 points per game?

Arizona State @ Nevada – December 7th

In this battle of ranked teams, Bobby Hurley will bring his Sun Devils to take on Eric Musselman, and the Nevada Wolfpack. Both teams come into this game undefeated.

Nevada is one of the NCAA Basketball Betting favorites.

Other than USC, Nevada hasn’t played a real tough schedule. The Wolfpack are averaging nearly 85 points per game. Arizona State has played a relatively easy schedule as well. Someone will leave this one with a blemish on their record.

Louisville @ Indiana – December 8th

This annual clash always delivers. Both teams come into this week with 2 losses. Indiana lost a heartbreaker to Indiana, and also suffered a huge loss at the hands of the powerful Duke Blue Devils. The Cardinals were defeated by a strong Tennessee team, and they also lost a close one to Marquette. Both of Louisville’s losses were on the road. Louisville does own a victory over the #10 Michigan State Spartans. This is usually a very highly contested game.
