Top NBA Betting Picks of the Week – February 11th Edition

Oklahoma City Thunder at Portland Trail Blazers – Monday, February 11, 2019, 7:00 PM CST

The Thunder of Oklahoma City did emerge victorious in the game in Oklahoma City on January 22nd of this year, showing their January 4th meeting in Portland was no fluke, a game in which they squeaked out the victory by only two points. Paul George had a major part in the win with 36 points in that last game. George had 37 points in the contest in early January as well, proving to be a difficult guy for the Trail Blazers to defend. On top of that, I think that Russell Westbrook’s athleticism will wear down the Trail Blazers and their defense which should create outlets for assist opportunities for what I think is the most agile player in the NBA.

Paul George and Lillard are two players that will likely mix it up on contested rebounds, but I think George’s size will once again give the nod to the Thunder. Stephen Adams will be battling it out with Jusuf Nurkic, which may be an interesting battle to watch, each giving each other problems from time to time. In fact, that may be the big matchup of the game to pay attention to. Either way, it goes, I think it will be fun for us all to watch Westbrook, Lillard, and George on the floor at the same time.

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors – Monday, February 11, 2019, 7:30 PM EST

Toronto has been one of the most dominant teams all season and well, the Brooklyn Nets haven’t been in quite some time. Demarre Carroll might be one of the best weapons for the Nets and that is saying something. Toronto just added Marc Gasol to add to their depth and two-way approach. Toronto’s average points scored per game is higher than Brooklyn’s and their points allowed are less. Not only that, but 80% of bettors are going with Toronto in this one.

The Raptors should be one of your NBA Betting picks of the week.

The Nets have lost 4 of their last 5 games, while the Raptors have LOST jus 1 in their last 5. I predict a similar end result with Toronto winning this game by a score of 118 – 105. I think the addition of Marc Gasol will be a huge win for the Raptors with direct improvements to rebounds at both ends of the floor and increased midrange chances. The more that they can move the ball around, the more open opportunities for their stars.

San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies – Tuesday, February 12, 2019, 8:00 PM EST

Just as Toronto benefits from the Marc Gasol trade, so too does Memphis suffer. The trade made good sense as it was a deal about the future, but for now, this week, the Grizzlies are worse off. In the last matchup between these two teams, Gasol was the hero that kept the Grizzlies in charge as they won 96 – 86. He had 26 points and 14 rebounds. That’s a massive amount of production that they will be without this time around.

The Spurs, on the other hand, are one of the very best teams in the league. They spread the ball around, they have great depth, and a team defense concept. I think this one will be over before we know it. I’ll take Popovich’s gang to win this one on the road by a score of 112 – 95.

Have a great NBA Betting week!
