We move to College Football Week 5 of the regular season. Take a look at some of the NCAAF odds and our top betting picks of the weekend.

College Football Week 5 Odds Overview & Top Picks

Temple at Boston College -17

Boston College’s defense has been suspect in recent weeks, while Temple seems to be hitting its stride a bit. Their quarterback has been looking great this season. If he continues that trend, look out for an upset, but at least for the Owls to cover.

Virginia Tech at Duke -1.5

While the injury to Duke QB Daniel Jones is worrisome, Virginia Tech didn’t exactly bolster any confidence this last week. We reluctantly take the Hokies to cover.

Syracuse at Clemson -21

In years past, I’d say an undefeated Syracuse facing off against an undefeated Clemson squad would show potential for an upset, but not on Clemson’s home turf and not after Clemson will have all their attention on securing an emotional win against a now hated rival.

Nevada at Air Force – 10

Air Force should win, but not sure about them covering double digits, I’ll take Nevada to cover.

BYU at Washington -18

BYU is off a bye, which is scary here. There are a lot of points here in this spread, we will take Washington to win, but not cover.

Ohio State at Penn State +4.5

If Ohio State can force PSU to pass the ball, they can lock this one up. That is a big if. The Buckeyes did not look like a top team the way they played against the TCU Horned Frogs last week.

Arkansas State at Georgia Southern +4

Georgia Southern’s rushing attack comes in under the radar only because of the profile of their program. Let us break it to you, they are good. They could win the game outright.

Iowa State at TCU -12.5

Iowa State has an impressive rushing attack, something the smaller athletes of TCU sometimes struggle with. The Horned Frogs held their own for a while against OSU, but we are not looking for a double digit win here.

Baylor at Oklahoma -27.5

Oklahoma may be caught looking ahead to hated rival Texas. We like them to win the game, but to cover is a different story.

Oklahoma is one of the favorites to win in College Football Week 5.

That is a ton of points, when they may not necessarily be focused on their opponent.

Louisiana Tech at North Texas -7

Louisiana Tech surprised some with how long they held on against LSU, but we expect North Texas to run away with this one and cover the spread.

Purdue at Nebraska +3

Purdue seems to have hit his stride. I’ve expected much more from Scott Frost’s squad at Nebraska. So far, I’m left wanting a lot more.

West Virginia at Texas Tech +5

Texas Tech has played great football the last two weeks and I’ll take points in a shootout. For those that like offense, you’re in luck.

Stanford at Notre Dame -2.5

Stanford looked good against the Ducks this past week, making it an instant classic, but the Irish defense is absolutely nasty. At home, take Notre Dame to cover.

Best of luck with your College Football Week 5 Betting!
