NCAAF Betting: Updated 2021-22 National Championship Odds

Written by on August 23, 2021

The 2020-2021 college football season was an unusual one, to say the least. With COVID-19 causing numerous issues throughout the season, stadiums with fewer fans than normal, and many other factors, it was a season that nobody wants to relive.

Well, we take that last statement back. The Alabama Crimson Tide didn’t seem to have issues last season, as Nick Saban and his squad won yet another National Championship.

Heading into this season, Saban and the Tide are the favorites to win another title, as they come in at +260. Even though they lost a good portion of last year’s team, the Crimson Tide never seems to rebuild; they just reload. They’ll have a roster full of four and five-star talent and won’t miss a beat.

Alabama is joined by some familiar foes as some of the top favorites to win it all. Let’s take a look at some of the other teams that Las Vegas deems as worthy candidates to win a Championship along with their NCAAF National Championship odds.

2021-22 NCAA Football National Championship Betting Update

Clemson Tigers +450

The toughest game of the year for Clemson is their opener against SEC powerhouse Georgia. If they win this one, we don’t see anyone else on their schedule being able to beat them. Even though the Tigers lost a lot of talent from last year’s team, they take Alabama’s approach, and they just reload with four and five-star talent.

DJ Uiagalelei will be under center for the Tigers this year. He looked great when he took over for Trevor Lawrence last season. The Clemson defense should be one of the best defensive units in the country. They have a great defensive line that should be hard to run against and will apply a ton of pressure to the opposing team’s quarterback.

Oklahoma Sooners +600

Lincoln Riley’s squad knows how to score points. Oklahoma always has one of the top offenses in the country, but their defense has been their weak link in year’s past. Defensive coordinator Alex Grinch is slowly turning the defense into a formidable unit. Riley no longer has to worry about the Sooners’ defense blowing big leads, as Grinch’s unit has brought in some talented players to help the Sooners achieve their goal of winning a national title.

Oklahoma will have a target on their back this season, as they and Texas are leaving the Big 12 for the SEC. Teams will want to beat the Sooners even more than they have in the past.

Georgia Bulldogs +650

Georgia has a boatload of talent on this year’s squad. Quarterback JT Daniels is one of the top signal-callers in the country. Georgia will be able to run the ball behind a stellar offensive line. The Bulldogs will also have one of the top defenses in the nation. This could be the most talented squad that Kirby Smart has assembled in his time at Georgia.

Even though Georgia has a Week 1 date with Clemson, and that is a game that they could lose, we think that Georgia will breeze through the SEC East and will meet up with Alabama in the SEC title game. If things go their way, this could finally be the year that former Alabama assistant Smart will knock off his mentor and will find a spot in the College Football Playoffs.
