NCAAF Betting: Top Games to Must Wager On Week 3

Posted by Derrick Harper on September 13, 2021 in

It’s hard to believe that we’re already in Week 3 of the 2021 college football season. Now that the teams have played two or three games, it’s a lot easier to get a read on things. With that being said, we’ve found a couple of games that we really like for you gamblers. Here are the games that we think are opportunities for you to make some easy money. Let’s take a look at a brief analysis of each of those games so you can wager against their College Football odds

Top Must-Bet Games on Week 3

Maryland Terrapins @ Illinois Fighting Illini (+8.5)

When Bret Bielema took over the Fighting Illini, many thought that this would be the year that things would get turned around. After beating Nebraska in Week 0 of the college football season, Illini fans thought that it was going to be a great season. Then came the loss to UTSA, followed by a drubbing by the Virginia Cavaliers, and things went south quickly.

Illinois will welcome the 2-0 Maryland Terrapins led by former offensive coordinator Mike Locksley. Locksley’s Terps have one of the top offenses in the country. Maryland is 12th in the country in scoring averaging 46 points per game. They are 14th in total yards per game, and 13th in passing yards per game. Granted one of their games was against Howard, but their opening game of the season was against a tough opponent in West Virginia.

We’ve told you how good the Maryland offense is, now it’s time to tell you about how bad the defense of the Fighting Illini is. In their three games, they’re giving up an average of just over 33 points per game. Good for 114th in the country. They are giving up nearly 500 yards of offense per game. Their passing defense is ranked 123rd in the country, giving up over 310 yards of passing per game.

All signs point to the Maryland Terrapins being able to score a ton of points against the porous Illinois defense. We love Maryland in this one. Even though they’re on the road, we see them beating the Illini by at least 10 points.

Nebraska Cornhuskers @ Oklahoma Sooners (-22)

The former Big 12 rivals will square off once again, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers return to Norman to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. If Nebraska couldn’t stop the offense of the Illinois Fighting Illini, we’re not sure how they’re going to stop Lincoln Riley’s high-powered offense under the direction of Heisman Trophy candidate Spencer Rattler.

After losing to Illinois, the Huskers have won two straight. They defeated Fordham in Week 1, followed by Fordham in Week 2. The Sooners had a scare in their opener against Tulane, but dominated Western Carolina last week 76-0.

We can’t see how the Nebraska Cornhuskers can hang around with the Sooners. Oklahoma will be fired up to play against their old rival, and they know that they need to have a good showing. They struggled against Tulane, and it’s hard to take much from the victory against the overmatched Western Carolina.

We see Oklahoma beating the Nebraska Cornhuskers 44-14, covering the 22-point spread along the way. Jump on this one early, as we see the line jumping to 24 or 25 by game time.
