Texas A&M @ Auburn Betting Preview & Prediction

Written by on July 12, 2016

At Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama the Texas A+M Aggies will take on the Auburn Tigers. This game is slated for Week 3 of the College Football Odds season, which is Saturday September 17th. The Texas A+M Aggies will start the season with the UCLA Bruins and then stay at home to face Prairie View A+M. Texas A+M won the first five games of last season, and finished with an 8-5 record. The Aggies went to the Music City Bowl, and were downed by Louisville. For the Auburn Tigers, they face a tough test right out of the box in the season. The Tigers take on the Clemson Tigers in Week 1 and then Texas State the following week. Last season, Auburn wrapped up a 7-6 season with a win in the Birmingham Bowl over Memphis.

Lets Take A Closer Look at my Tigers vs. Aggies Expert Prediction

When: Saturday September 17, 7:00 PM ET Where: Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn, AL TV: ESPN/ESPN2 Radio: Aggies and Tigers TV Stream: WatchESPN NCAAF Odds: Auburn -6.5

Why Bet on the Auburn Tigers

After one of the most disappointing seasons in all of college football last season, the Auburn Tigers will look to win more than 2 conference games this season. The Tigers have grabbed Will Muschamp, the former Florida Gators head coach, and now he is the defensive coordinator at Auburn. Every time he was with the Gators, they were one of the Top 10 defenses in the country. On the other side, Auburn will likely see Jeremy Johnson behind center. Johnson really struggled early last season, but came on late in the season. The Tigers will have to replace their top running back in Peyton Barber from a season ago. Look for Roc Thomas to get the first look.

Why Bet on the Texas A+M Aggies

The Texas A+M Aggies still are led by one of the coolest customers in college football coaching. Kevin Sumlin remains the head coach, and he has a talented crew. The Aggies will use Trevor Knight, the transfer from Oklahoma to run the show. Quarterback play in College Station has been a question mark for several seasons. The Aggies defense improved greatly last season, nearly climbing 50 spots in the defensive rankings. If they can come close to that this season, they will fare well in the SEC. Texas A+M will have Christian Kirk back as a wide receiver, and he is likely their best player.

My Insiders Betting Prediction & Pick

This should be a fun game, just like all games within the SEC are. The AUburn Tigers know they have one of the toughest schedules in the country, and picking up any wins in which they are favorites is going to be extremely important. The Tigers are at home, and will use their run game to make sure they get the lead and keep it. The best best for this game is going to be the home team. Now, can they win by a touchdown, that’s a little questionable, but Auburn definitely wins. In the end, go ahead and bet on the Auburn Tigers -6.5 over the Texas A+M Aggies.
