All the marbles are on the line for the Big 12 title this Saturday in Norman, as the Oklahoma State Cowboys visit the Oklahoma Sooners. The Cowboys have a 7-1 record in conference play, while the Sooners sit at 8-0. Both teams have a 9-2 record for the regular season. Last year, when the teams met up in Stillwater, the Sooners rolled to a 58-23 shellacking. Take a look at all of our college football betting picks for this weekend’s conference championships.

Why should you bet on the Cowboys?

Two weeks ago, Oklahoma State went down to TCU and delivered a 31-6 thumping to the Horned Frogs. Oklahoma also beat TCU down in Fort Worth, but they barely escaped with a 52-46 score. It was all about the running game for the Cowboys in this big win, as Justice Hill and Chris Carson ran for more than 300 yards combined. Oklahoma State has rattled off seven straight wins after a 2-2 start to the season, which has brought them into position to win the conference with a victory. The Cowboys average 40.4 points per game, and they only allow 27.2, giving them a better margin than Oklahoma.

Why should you put your money on the Sooners?

The Sooners come out of their (extremely late) bye week, but two weeks ago, they demolished a strong West Virginia team, 56-28. Baker Mayfield only had to attempt 15 passes because the running game was so devastating, with Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon combining for 307 yards. The Sooners also put up a ton of points — 45.3 per game — so the Cowboys will have all they can handle. However, the Sooner defense struggled against the Mountaineers in the running game, as West Virginia rumbled for 331 yards. They permit 30.5 points per game, but they should be able to enforce their will against the Cowboys, at least on offense.

Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like Oklahoma winning this edition of the Bedlam rivalry, but I don’t see this line holding. The Cowboys just bring too much on offense. Oklahoma State has flown beneath the radar because of those two early losses, but they will give the Sooners everything they can handle. I predict a final score of Oklahoma 34, Oklahoma State  30.
