North Carolina Central (10-2) enters the Celebration Bowl as the sole champion of the MEAC — the first uncontested conference title in the history of their program. They meet Grambling State, who fell to Alcorn State in the SWAC title game. Grambling has won 18 consecutive SWAC games during the regular season, and their only other loss was a 31-21 loss to Arizona from the Pac-12. So when these two teams tangle, they both have real skins on the wall.Check out all of our college football betting odds and lines for the bowl season.

Why should you bet on the Eagles?

When North Carolina Central beat North Carolina A&T to take the MEAC title, it showed a major step for their program. It was their 15th straight conference win. They did take two losses on the season, but those were against FBS programs: Duke and Western Michigan. Duke would go on to beat Notre Dame on the road, and Western Michigan just completed an undefeated season. Quarterback Malcolm Bell led the MEAC in offensive yards per game, with 248.6, throwing for 2,191 yards and running for 544 more, accounting for 25 combined touchdowns. This is the bowl game that they had to sit out of last year, as North Carolina A&T won the MEAC, so they have been waiting for redemption.

Why should you put your money on the Tigers?

When Grambling knocked off Southern in the yearly Bayou Classic, they won the SWAC West, earning the right to take on Alcorn State in the conference championship. They put up a terrific fight in their loss to Arizona, actually going into halftime with a 21-3 lead. DeVante Kincade through 28 touchdown passes against just three interceptions. He ranks third in all the FCS  programs for passing efficiency, with a 171.6 rating. They should find plenty of room to move the ball against the Eagles, but will it be enough to counter their offensive prowess?

Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like Grambling’s accomplishments this year, but North Carolina Central took a huge step as a program as well. I predict a tight game between these two proud programs, but I like the Eagles to prevail, 27-23.
