Let’s Check Out The LSU College Football Betting Season Preview

Let’s Get Into the Tigers Offense

The biggest key for the LSU Tigers is their Heisman contending running back Leonard Fournette. Last season, the stud running back finished with just shy of 2,000 yards and 22 touchdowns. He is by far the key in the offense. His backup will be Derrius Guice, but look for Fournette to get most of the carries. Les Miles has said he is going to look to throw the football a little more this season, which should put Brandon Harris is a great spot as the quarterback for the Tigers. He finished last season with just 277 passing attempts and 13 touchdowns. In the biggest game of the season; Harris finished just 6 of 19 against Alabama, with four interceptions.

What About the LSU’s Defense

On the defensive side of the football, there are several big names. Defensive coordinator Dave Aranda will start his first season in charge. He is formerly of Wisconsin, where he looks to implement the 3-4 defense. The defense should still be as dominant as days past. A couple studs on the defensive side of the football for Les Miles club include Christian LaCouture and Davon Godchaux. Middle linebacker Kendell Beckwith is due for a large season as well. There is a bunch of experience in the secondary, with guys like Tre-Davious White and Jamal Adams.

Season Schedule Rundown and Final Prediction

What a great schedule that the LSU Tigers have put together. The season starts with a neutral field game, played in Green Bay against the Wisconsin Badgers. If you do not think the Big Ten Badgers are going to want to knock off a title contender in the home of the Packers; you are not a serious football fan. The Tigers have home games against Alabama and Ole Miss, but – those two teams are going to be title contenders as well. LSU out of the division in the SEC will have a trip to Florida as well. Things will not be easy for the Tigers; but with a Heisman running back, an improving quarterback and a hungry coach – this may just be the season for the Tigers!
