Hyundai Sun Bowl NCAAF Betting Preview
Washington State won eight of their last nine games and have their first winning NCAAF betting season in more than 10 years. They look to continue this momentum as they take on the Miami Hurricane in the Hyundai Sun Bowl this Saturday, in El Paso, Texas. Washington State is favored by 1.5 points.

Why should you take the Hurricanes (+1.5)?
Miami jumped out to a 3-0 record, including a win over Nebraska. However, then they dropped three of four — and saw head coach Al Golden get the axe. They did win four of their last five, including the last two against Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh to finish with a record of 8-4 (5-3 ACC). They won four of five after making a change with their head coach, outgaining three of their last four opponents. This hot streak could carry over into a win over Washington State.
Why should you bet on the Cougars (-1.5)?
Washington State has had Mike Leach as their head coach for four seasons now, and the coach’s promised transformation finally seems to be taking effect. The Cougars started 2-2, but then they won six of seven, beating Oregon, Arizona State, Arizona and UCLA. They did lose in the Apple Cup to Washington in the last week of the regular season, but they still finished 8-4 (6-3 Pac 12), for their best record in 12 years. They are in the top 20 in the nation with total offense, thanks to quarterback Luke Falk, who has tossed for almost 4,300 yards, with 36 touchdowns and only eight picks. Their offense looks solid enough to run roughshod over Miami.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
Miami is 0-4 against the spread in their last four bowl games, and they are in the middle of a tumultuous season. Washington State has been focused all year long and should carry that focus into a big win in the Sun Bowl. I like them to prevail 31-14.
