Boca Raton Bowl NCAAF Betting Preview
Temple takes on Toledo in the 2015 Boca Raton Bowl, set for Tuesday night at 7:00pm Eastern time. Temple is a 1-point favorite. This NCAAF betting game features the high-flying Rocket offense of Toledo against a stingy Temple Owl defense.

Should you pick Temple (-1)?
The Owls started off 7-0 this year for the best opening record in school history, knocking off Cincinnati and Penn State, falling to Notre Dame, 24-20. Temple won three of four after that, falling only to South Florida, to win the East Division in the American Athletic Conference. However, they did not play well in the AAC title game, losing to Houston, 24-13. Temple outgained Houston 385-339, but they coughed the ball up early, leading to a Cougar score, and Temple couldn’t come back. Temple averaged 31 points per game, and their defense only allowed an average of 19, so this is a team that can play well on both sides of the ball.
Should you take the Rockets (+1)?
Toledo also got off to a 7-0 start this season, beating Arkansas, Arkansas State and Iowa State. Toledo fell to Northern Illinois, won two straight and then lost to Western Michigan in the last game of the season in a fight for the MAC West Division title. Toledo outrushed Western Michigan but coughed up a punt in the first half, giving the Broncos a touchdown and turning the tide against Toledo. The Rockets will play this game under new coach Jason Candle, as Matt Campbell already left the program to work at Iowa State. Sometimes this sort of change serves as an additional boost of motivation.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
I look for the Owls to reassert themselves after a sloppy loss to Houston. They have beaten better teams this year than Toledo has, and I look for them to cool off that Rocket offense. I’m picking Temple to win 24-17.
