The Atlantic Coast Conference is always one of the toughest conferences in all of NCAAF Betting action. Here is a look at 5 of our fearless College Football Betting predictions for the 2018 season.

5 Fearless College Football Betting Predictions for ACC in 2018

Clemson continues its Dominance

I’m not sure this is fearless, but I’m going to list it anyways. Although it is difficult to escape a season unbeaten, this team sure looks poised to do it. With Kelly Bryant leading the charge, it seems like the rich get richer. Looking at this team offensively with Bryant and Hunter Renfrow, and defensively with all of those able bodies on the line, this team will steamroll the competition.

If healthy, I expect them to be undefeated representing the ACC in the College Football Playoff at season’s end.

Florida State runs Over and Around Teams

With Cam Akers and Jacques Patrick in the same backfield, look for this running back tandem to lead the conference in rushing yards and yards from scrimmage. Both of these guys have shown they can be pass catchers in space and get to the edge. Last year, as only a freshman, Cam Akers ran for over 100 yards four times.

Coming from a guy who played quarterback all four years in high school, that’s pretty impressive. Add that to Deondre Francois and James Blackmon’s battle for starting quarterback and this will be an exciting backfield to watch this season!

NC State Wolfpack Rise

The historic rise of this program has been noted, primarily their count on NFL quarterbacks. From Philip Rivers to Russell Wilson to Mike Glennon to Jacoby Brissett, the league is chalked full of alumni at the most difficult position to cut it at. They will have another at season’s end in Ryan Finley.

This guy flat out finds ways to win. They had 8 wins last season and kept it very close against Clemson. Look for similar results from him this year when he will lead the conference in yards per attempt and total yards.

The U is Back!

Mark Richt turned this program around last year. Look for him to continue this year with his creative style and player-friendly attitude, a perfect fit for the boisterous Hurricanes. They have the best linebacking corp in the conference and what could become the best-receiving corp as well.

The Hurricanes are College Football Betting favorites to win the ACC in 2018.

They return fifteen starters this season, so another year older and wiser could make all the difference. The Canes will equal or better there win total from a year ago, which is why they come in as one of the College Football Betting favorites to win it all.

Tarheels will be back to the Bottom

North Carolina, amidst more rule violations and distractions than any program would like to discuss, will be back to the bottom of the conference this year. Replacing four starters on the offensive line and both primary receivers will be a tough task to handle for an offense that sputtered a year ago, failing to score 20 points in six straight games.

The defense, on the other hand, will be returning eight starters, including the starting front seven, but before we get excited about a stalwart defense, the same starters returning contributed to a 3-7 season a year ago. Penalties, conversion, turnovers, and clock management all are working against this team, too much to overcome.
