5 College Football Win Totals to Bet on and 5 You Need to Avoid

The College Football season is right around the corner. Before the season starts, it’s always fun to look at all 130 FBS teams and see what Vegas has placed on the win total for each and every team. We have looked at each and every team, and have a look at 5 College Football win totals to bet on and 5 that you should avoid in 2017:

5 College Football Win Totals to Bet on and 5 You Need to Avoid

Clemson Tigers UNDER 9.5 wins

The Tigers have lost their stud in DeShaun Watson. The Tigers have a tough 2017 schedule, and the Atlantic Coast Conference has a few teams at the top that will be ready to knock them off. Look for the UNDER 9.5.

Michigan Wolverines OVER 9 wins

Who else is going to beat the Wolverines outside of maybe Ohio State? Ohio State should beat the Wolverines, but Coach Harbaugh’s team is better than Florida in their opening game. The rest of the Big Ten? Meh. Michigan is better. Take the OVER 9 wins.

Oklahoma Sooners OVER 9.5 wins

Bob Stoopes is gone, but the Sooners are still contenders to win the national title. Oklahoma has a tough game against Ohio State to start the season, but they could and should run the table from there. Baker Mayfield has a big season, and the Sooners contend.

Washington Huskies UNDER 10 wins

This would mean that the Huskies were pretty elite out of the Pac-12. Don’t see that happening. The USC Trojans are the team to beat in the conference, and there are too many competitive teams to count on Washington getting to 11.

Alabama Crimson Tide OVER 10.5 wins

This could be the easiest Crimson Tide schedule they have seen. Sure, Florida State is elite in the opener, but the SEC really is down. The Crimson Tide should be able to waltz through the conference play. Take the OVER 10.5 as an easy winner.

Are the Alabama Crimson Tide a safe bet this 2017 College Football season?

Stay AWAY from SMU Mustangs 5.5 wins

Las Vegas has done a really good job at handicapping the Mustangs win total. This is a team that will be able to compete, and have a chance to get to a bowl game. This is a trap bet that we are staying completely away from.

Stay AWAY from Western Michigan 8.5 wins

Without P.J. Fleck as the head man, we are not sure what the Broncos are going to do in 2017. Las Vegas still has them as the best team in the MAC, but 8.5 wins seems great for the OVER. But, again, too many question marks for us.

Stay AWAY from Iowa State Cyclones 5.5 wins

These teams that Las Vegas have put with a win total of 5.5 are tricky, and ones we are staying away from. It’s hard to picture the Cyclones picking up more than 5 wins, but out of the Big 12 – you never really know. Kansas should be a win, Texas Tech could be a win, but other than that?

Stay AWAY from Purdue Boilermakers 2.5 wins

We would love to say Purdue will win at least 3 games, but will they? This seems like a trap, and something you need to stay away from. They are good enough to win some non conference games, but can they beat a bad Illinois team?

Stay AWAY from Louisville Cardinals 9.5 wins

The Louisville Cardinals are good enough to win 10 games. But, will they? Lamar Jackson is back as the defending Heisman Champion. The question is – will he play like he did a season ago? Seems a good idea to stay away from this one.

There is a look at 5 win total bets we love in college football, and 5 that we advise you to avoid. Best of luck with all your college football betting!
