Rhode Island at Dayton NCAAB Odds Analysis and Game Info
Why Should You Bet on the Flyers?
Dayton was able to pull themselves out of a funk after dropping two games in a row for the first time in the 2015-16 season. Now they are back in second place, a half game back of VCU and a half game ahead of St. Joseph’s in the conference standings. Even though Saint Louis held Dayton to 14 points in the first half, they were only able to score 19, a testament to the solid defense that Dayton can play even when their offense is struggling. I wouldn’t expect Dayton to shoot 32 percent from the floor when URI comes to town.
Why Should You Put Your Money on URI?
If there ever was a time when the Flyers are vulnerable to a team like URI, it is now, having dropped two conference games in a row and then barely escaping Saint Louis, one of the basement dwellers in the A-10, with an overtime victory. If Jared Terrell can get on a run for the Rams, and Kuran Iverson can continue his dominance on the inside, then the Rams will have a chance. Given Dayton’s offensive woes of late, I would be really tempted to take URI if the line was more than 8 or 10 points.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
I think that Dayton will hold off the Rams, but I don’t think that the Flyers are out of the woods yet by any means. I am picking Dayton to win, 69-61.
