Oregon vs UCLA Free NCAA Hoops Pick

The Oregon Ducks head down the coast to take on the UCLA Bruins on Wednesday night in Pac-12 basketball action. The sixth-ranked Ducks (23-6) sit atop the Pac-12 rankings and just whipped Washington, 86-73, on Sunday. The Bruins (15-14) are in 10th place in the conference and just lost at Stanford, 79-70. Get the updated NCAAB online betting spread for this game.

Why should you bet on the Bruins?

It’s true that UCLA has lost five of their last seven, but they do have Bryce Alford raining down threes, and when he is hot, the Bruins can stay with anyone. They went on a 17-4 run at the end of the first half against Stanford, and if they had been able to maintain that type of momentum, they might well have been able to get the road upset. Against Oregon, I would consider taking UCLA if the line were 10 or 12. Straight up, though, I wouldn’t take the Bruins.

Why should you put your money on Oregon?

The Ducks are returning to historic waters; the last time they went undefeated at home, they won their conference and made it all the way to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, way back in 2002. They have finished unbeaten at home again (18-0) and now need a split of their games at USC and UCLA this week to clinch the regular season title, as they are a half-game ahead of Utah and a full game ahead of Cal. Elgin Cook is on fire in the second half of conference play; he poured in 26 points to go along with 19 from Dillon Brooks and a dozen each from Jordan Bell and Casey Benson. They have a tremendous inside game (they outrebounded Washington 40-26) that will serve them well against the Bruins too.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like Oregon to seal their Pac-12 title with a 78-69 win at UCLA.
