Colorado at Oregon Betting Spread, Pick & TV Info

Posted by Peter Boysen on February 17, 2017 in

The Colorado Buffaloes (16-11, 6-8 Pac-12) head to Oregon to take on the #7 Ducks (23-4, 12- 2 Pac-12) on Saturday afternoon. Colorado righted the ship after a seven-game losing streak and has won six of their last seven, including a nine-point win over then-#10 Oregon at home.

Most recently, the Buffs survived a trap game at Oregon State, 60-52, on Thursday. Oregon has won four of five since losing at Colorado, most recently knocking off Utah at home, 79-61, on Thursday night. There’s a lot of action in college basketball this weekend, so make sure you check out all of our college basketball spreads.

Why should you bet on the Buffaloes?

Frankly, I’d be a little more optimistic for Colorado if they hadn’t had to struggle to hold off Oregon State — who has not won a single game in Pac-12 play this season. Derrick White led the way for Colorado, with 20 points, including a contested shot to stake Colorado to a three-point lead with 1:18 left in the second half, and a stellar block on the next possession. However, the Beavers went into the locker room with a one-point halftime lead. Even so, Colorado has turned an 0-7 start in Pac-12 play into a 6-8 record, and they did beat Oregon at home. Can they pull off the season sweep against a team that many view as the most tournament-ready in the Pac-12?

Why should you put your money on the Ducks?

Oregon has now won 41 home games in a row, after their 79-61 dispatching of Utah. Dillon Brooks led the Ducks with 20 points, and Jordan Bell chipped in 17. The Ducks are in second place in the Pac-12 and will be looking to catch Arizona as the regular season winds down. One area of weakness for Oregon came on the glass, as Utah scored 19 points on second-chance opportunities after offensive rebounds. The Ducks haven’t lost since they gave up a huge lead at UCLA.

Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

Colorado has pulled off a major resurgence in the second half of conference play. However, Oregon is just too tough at home. I predict a final score of Oregon 85, Colorado 76.
